What happened to Ozone Depletion? (vanity)

The wife and I were wondering to day whatever happened to ozone depletion? I am still terrified by that and have not been able to move on to be afraid of global warming. I was wondering if anybody has heard anything about that in the last year or so.

I have family members and friends who ping from one looming catastrophe to another. I really can't remeber hearing anything about ozone depletion recently. It seems the sheeple have moved on to a different premise, while I can only assume we will soon be baking in radiation caused by global warming. Any news to keep my fear level up. I just bought some SPF 99 just in case.

We fixed that by banning Freon.

Well, we were going to die due to rampant population growth (widespread starvation in the 80's), and the coming Ice Age was a serious threat, too. And we musn't forget Swine flu, Ebola, Bird flu, and AIDS. Yes, Ozone depletion will get us all, if Global Warming doesn't get us first. And by the way, the number of asteroids in near-Earth orbit is WAY more than we used to think, so, really, it's just a matter of time ...
One almost begins to think that this is all driven by sensationalism. But that couldn't be, could it?

Watch out, the radon seeping from the ground will get you while you’re looking at the sky.

Thanks for that. I am going to start a think tank to fix that stuff. Want to contribute? I figure three million will set us up nicely. But you did forget to mention Y2k, which I did benefit from nicely by being in the generator rental biz in 1998 to 2002. But this is way more serious and I am really hoping for your help. Save yourself and donate to me by pay pal. I will send you info if you freepmail me.

Okay, I'm keeping a tally.
Ozone depletion, acid rain, and erosion.
Hey, weren't we also facing global cooling?

Remember when we were all going to die from Acid Rain? (I still have the my tungsten halfnium carbide umbrella.)
To: SIDENET
Don’t forget how Ted Danson assured us back in about 1990 that we only had 10 years to fix the oceans or else we would surely all die.

I remember the nuclear winter casued by Carl Sagans “white paper”. Or was it “white out paper” Can’t remember. Do remember the “population Bomb” presented to me in the third grade with a neato graph on the chalk board telling me that by the time I was thirty I would starve and be riding a bicycle.

We fixed that by banning Freon.Wrong answer, they just raised the price by 300%. A 30lb cly of R22 cost 60 bucks 5 years ago, now its 200. Glad I stocked some :-)
Oh, of course you can use the new 410a at twice that price. But it makes you feel good while your getting screwed.
