USA, gone but not forgotten

Industry outsourcing jobs. Illegals overrunning the Nation. Public and private schools at all levels dumbing down criteria. This has been going on for more than 20 years and its coming to a head. Either our elected officials are so sublimely ignorant and frankly mildly retarded, or there is a singular will, a design leading the good people of our country into perpetual poverty and dependance on the "super state". Either way its time to vote the plutarchs out of office. All of them and start anew before it's too late.

“My life and my community are quite pleasant.”

That’s what the Elitists behind their gated walls think too.

Don’t become too comfortable.

My point is this, the legal stuff such as rifles and handguns is pretty useless against tanks and fighter planes. For the Second Amendment to actually work in keeping the people free from dictatorship then such things as antitank missiles or privately own and armed fighter planes should be allowed.

The Second Amendment said the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. Arms was not just firearms but cannon and sword and other weapons of war in 1776. Yet we the people have restricted the Second Amendment to only firearms and has taken such weapons as working antitank missiles or armed fighter jets from the public.

As such any rebellion by groups armed only with legal firearms can be crushed easily by the government. Only illegal weapons such as anti aircraft missiles can even give the rebels a chance.

What makes you think the tank operator or jet fighter pilot wouldn’t join us?

"but we saw far worse in the past (mass poverty, poor living conditions for industrial workers, race riots, civil war, etc.)"

Point being, perhaps, that those things are not that far from happening again ... given our present track.

Oh, no. I live in rural farmland and I am broke. Hell I have always been broke so its no different now. But I got everything I need. I keep my bills paid. I got a nice garden coming up too. I plan on making some squash caserole this weekend if I can pick few good sized ones. If not, I will go to the WalMart and buy them. I hate going there. Its always so crowded. Just packed out everywhere you go nowadays. The shopping district in town is a nightmare...people everywhere.

If you will be lucky you will be the first or second one who they will come after and you might get a lucky shot off. On the other hand as Iraq is showing an individual with a firearm isn’t going to stop a squad of soldiers with support.

That is why Saddam didn’t have gun control in Iraq I believe. IED’s that are currently not covered by the Second Amendment on the other hand is very effective over there.

I figure most of the 2nd Amendment my gun will defeat the government types will be dead, surrendered, or hiding within a month of any revolt against the government.

With a rock I can get a knife, with a knife I can get a gun, with a gun I can get an anti-tank weapon, with an anti-tank weapon I can get armor, with armor I can get anti-air and so on. Having a gun to start saves steps. If you haven't already made a plan (along with a whole bunch of other plans) to execute the above I suggest you do so. The day will come.

“””””keeping the people free from dictatorship then such things as antitank missiles or privately own and armed fighter planes should be allowed.””””””

Good Lord man!

Can you imagine what the place would be like if some of the freaks in our society already had them??? Thats the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

OK, lets play along.......how do I purchase a 40 million dollar fighter jet? Where do I park it? Where can I hire a team of engineers and mechanics to maintain it? Who does the flight coords and traffic control. Do they have fighter jet parking at the Starbucks? What about weapons readiness and such?

I know what you mean. Tried to find a camping spot for the weekend so we could spend some time with our kids. NO such luck....All Full.

We too manage to keep our bills paid and have a garden coming up. (my Wife even hates shopping)

Sorry if I sounded alarmist. Too many these days don’t feel the effects of what’s happening in the world.

Pretty much if the military felt the way we do then they go and arrest Congress and there would be no need to take up arms.

On the other hand if antimilitary liberals has had control of the government and military for any length of time this is what happens. They promote those who share their viewpoints and they don’t promote those who don’t. They cut the pay and benefits and perhaps enact a draft. An army of draftees is easy to control as the Soviet Union shows. The patriotic real good soldiers, many from long time military families will either not enlist or will get out and those who remain can be easier controlled and lead than if they got out.

Look at the New Orleans and some other police forces, at one time they had good cops who respected and enforced the law. After long time Democratic liberal rule the cops are pretty much the same as the criminals and didn’t hesitate to take the guns away from legal owners.

Within ten years of liberal rule the greatest military in the history of the planet could be turned into a national version of the New Orleans cops.

**Can you imagine what the place would be like if some of the freaks in our society already had them??? Thats the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.**

Any more ridiculous than the idea that ordinary citizens can fight the government with legal handguns and rifles? And pretty much your argument that freaks will abuse the weapons makes my point that legal arms is fairly harmless compared to nonlegal arms.

As for the fighter jet idea, if some millionaire or group wanted to own a working fighter jet it wouldn’t be any skin off my nose. Wouldn’t be what I would spend on but I am sure that if they can afford a jet they can afford the other stuff you talked about.

Vote the democRATS and Rinos out first. Let the remaining conservatives know that they are next if they don’t grow a spine and start drilling for oil, building refineries & nukes, and enforcing all laws.....

American people did that exactly in 1996, and in 2000 added Republican President to both Pub controlled houses.

WHERE ARE WE NOW?

Time to throw Dems and Pubs out and start anew.

>>>Any more ridiculous than the idea that ordinary citizens can fight the government with legal handguns and rifles?<<<<

I still don’t get why I am in a gun battle with the government to start with. What did I do?

>>>>As for the fighter jet idea, if some millionaire or group wanted to own a working fighter jet it wouldn’t be any skin off my nose.<<<<<

So if Weather Underground had a fighter jet, that would not bother you? ...and they should be free to roam the skys with guided missiles?

Fighter jet?..... come on, man.

Nope having a legal registered gun means that the government knows who you are and will come and get that gun.

I feel like Redd Butler in Gone with the Wind telling the Southerns that a war with the North isn’t going to be an easy fight.

If you really think you will have to fight the government then don’t buy more ammo but know how to make ammo. Don’t use a gun to gain an antitank weapon but know how to make an antitank weapon. Knowledge is a much more important weapon than a rifle.

What makes you think the tank operator or jet fighter pilot wouldn’t join us?

Exactly. The military, as a whole, is far more conservative than the general population. What's more, they are probably absolutely horrified at the thought of either a Hillary or Obama CiC, and not all that enthused about McCain (but at least he was a military man). If it were to come to that, I actually would expect a significant amount of active duty military to either join the patriots or at least refuse to kill them. Think about it. How many military guys does the average conservative know vs. the average liberal?

Police forces and the National Guard, however, I would not have as much faith in.
