Good morning, and a good week's start to everyone!

David Frum suggests on Bennett's show using "appeasement" to "assuagement" so as not to upset the Obama camp. LOL!

He's written a new book: Comeback about how Rs can win again...

The “Cooler Heads” editorial is especially good.

I emailed it to many friends. Some of those friends love tweaking their liberal relatives and will send it on, I’m sure.

She's about the same, LB...today she gets an exam by the wound care nurses, so that will be telling. She's been off the antiobiotcs for that for a week...

2/3rds, I've heard Bill Bennett's comments about Obama's candidacy as quite varied, too...but I think he's talking about whether Obama will be successful in deceiving the voters...Bennett can't seem to make up his mind on that aspect. There's no doubt in my mind, tho, Bennett thinks he'd be a terrible president.

bev, I watched the program about the loggers and last winter's storm. Great! It continues next Sunday...Thanks for alerting me!

Good morning, Molly. Oh, absolutely, Bennett understands lock step with me that BHO would not only be a terrible president, but also a very dangerous president in that he is not only radically left, but also has no idea what he's doing or even a clue as to the immense responsibility that is required for that job, something he lacks in incredible proportions, so embarrassing visible in his and his wife's frantic, desperate pursuit of the most important position on the planet.

Unfortunately GW Bush isn’t the first president to go hat in hand to the Saudi’s over oil. Also, the posters on the thread say the Saudi’s actually did raise daily oil production as asked. I’m not certain what that all amounts to though..

Good morning everybody, it’s going to get hot here today. Must get to the grocery store and tackle the pile of papers on my desk.

Take care kassie. The g.b. techniques today are far superior to what they used to be. Mind the Dr.

I have to water the gardens today too.

Pat Buchanan had a very good article about racism and if it is discussed both sides should be able to talk about it, not just nobama and his frau. I wanted to send it to some, but evidently hit the delete button. Maybe I’ll find it and if and when I do, I’ll send it.

I'm not able to hear Bill Bennett but wish I could. I too can't imagine having michelle obama as 1st lady.

RE: the TV show AX MEN. Living the storm and seeing it on TV are very different. It brought back very unpleasant memories. I can still see the evidence every day. Men continue to work cutting and clearing the downed trees and I'm sure it will continue for many months to come.

One of the things we all noticed while watching on TV - they didn't capture the sound of the wind!!! It was a 36 hour long horrible scream and roar - we were without power for 101 hours/11 minutes here at my house. Some people were without power for 2 weeks!!

The river they mentioned (Nehalem) is the river I live on. It is just 50 feet from my deck but I am 40 above the river so flooding isn't something I have to worry about.

Good morning! A bit windy here but nothing like your, bevlar! I'll be outside most of the day...still lots to do.

Here's a video you history buffs might enjoy:

See how Daniel Boone lived

(Wilkes county, NC, is the birthplace of the present Senator Byrd of West Virginia.)

Good morning, b. If you have sound on your computer, you can listen online to any radio station from that radio station's 'listen live' feature if they have one. My local one is: KNUS 710 AM website
Just click on the 'listen live' button.

m. obama will be MUCH MORE than just 1st lady in B. Hussein O's administration. It will be a co-presidency to, IMHO, a much greater extent than the clinton's ever imagined they had. I am just sick to death that the CRAT party is trying to ram this obama nightmare down our throats and there seems very little we can do to prevent it.

It seems once the lame stream media decided to shove obama down our throats 24/7, it was all over. Unless Hillary can drag up some major dirt on him, and the press will actually cover it, it seems we may be doomed.

Not to make your head explode any futher 2/3rd's, but....

Tennessee GOP Sen. Corker tells Tennessee GOP to shut up

Isn't it wonderful to witness the GOP establishment helping elect a pair of America-hating communists and sticking a knife into a state GOP party's freedom of speech to boot? sheesh!

And Teddy Kennedy reportedly has a glioma. A malignant brain tumor. There's a locked thread if you haven't seen it.

Hey prairie! I'm going to wait to read that Corker thread until this evening when I have some O-H radicals in my bloodstream to keep me calm.

Just glanced at the thread on Kennedy.

I’m just catching up on the news. I wonder if the malignancy has spread. I wonder how long he has had it.

I won’t say anymore except that I have never liked the Swimmer.
