They're playing the UCF arena sometime this month. I'd be tempted to go, but I just hate arena shows. Ever since seeing Bob Dylan play the Fleet Center in Boston and barely being able to hear him, I just can't stand the giant sports venues for shows.
Who's subbing for Andy now that he's left.
I used to love Robert Palmer, especially his early stuff.

Bummer. He was one of the good ones.
But more importantly, what about those chics in his music videos all dressed in black, dark slicked hair, and no bra? They’re still alive I hope!
BTW, I checked your homepage. Were you one of the chics in his videos?

no gang warfare.LOL! Maybe in your humble part of the country, but in NYC, Chicago, Philly, etc. the locales were in the midst of the CRACK EPIDEMIC and the 1980s saw crime rates that were considerably HIGHER than they were in the 1990s and first half of this decade! If you look at justice department statistics violent crime PEAKED in the 1980s/early 90s in most of the country.
"High school flunkouts" making a good living you say? Back in the 1980s, the same losers were WHINING about "the loss of unskilled factory jobs" as are currently doing. The 1980s are when more women than ever joined the workforce to support the family.
I think you have the 1980s confused with the early 1960s.

I had it really short minus the mohawk, colored it: fuschia, lavender and cobalt blue, my youthful days. Needless to say my late Father, may he rest in peace thought I looked like a freak./Just Asking - seoul62........

Oh, well, we never claimed Joan. :-)
I miss southern MD, too, believe it or not. How long have you been there, anyway? Were we there at the same time?

Oh, I left St. Mary’s the summer after I graduated. I lived near DC for awhile but left there over a decade ago, too. Dang, I’m getting old.

Never heard of Nitro, but here's some more awful 80's hairNo? The vocals really are horrific, the drumming and bass playing insanely simple, but its worth listening to, just for the absolutely ridiculous noodling that guitarist Michael Angelo performs. Yes, that's right. Michael Angelo.
