A solar powered bra that can charge a phone!

May 14, 2008

Lingerie maker Triumph International, Japan, on Wednesday unveiled a 'solar powered bra' that can generate enough power to charge a cell phone or an iPod.

The environmentally friendly, green-coloured bra sports a solar panel that can be worn around the stomach.

The bra is equipped with a solar panel which generates electricity using sunlight and distributes it to various types of electrical devices when the power cable is connected.

The bra was revealed prior to the 2008 G8 Hokkaido Toyoko Summit that will address environmental issues.

The bra, Hhwever, will not be available to customers just yet.

Oops, didn't realize that about Getty. I wondered why I didn't see it earlier.

Sincere apologies!

...so the solar panel will be in the shade?

Not likely in Japan.

Interesting device. Pamela Anderson could recharge a Prius in about half an hour.

Okay, looks like a solar panel glued under a bra. You could affix one of these to a beanie cap, I suppose, but I guess then it wouldn’t get as much press. Sue Ellen Mischke, please pick up the red phone.

I am expecting The Geek Squad wlll pay a lot more attention to Customer Service requests:

“Mam, your bra may need a new motherboard. I can be at your place in 10 minutes.”

If a Japanese bra can power a cell phone an Australian Bra should be able to run a small house.

I would hope that whoever wears one of these contraptions doesn’t use “Circus Tents R Us” as a clothing store.

I know a few women who could power a small city. BUt not "know" in a Biblical sense.
