[Soaring Feather]

My Dragonfly And Me


If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!


By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone


On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...


And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...


Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I have a mold for a human face but haven’t decided to use it or try something else. Come to think of it I could ask my friend who has a kiln about availability of molds.

If we could just export him,
All would be well with us.
Oh, why did he not keep moving,
Instead of getting off the bus?

“Who are these guys?” He wondered.
“Who is this jerk?” We said.
After he’d made a bust of seeing,
Some of our founding heads.

And then he became assertive,
With some help on how he should dress,
“Just look at how W cowers!
Big Al’s on his way to success!”

Alas, his fortunes were waning,
But he waxed eloquent as he warmed,
To a subject he loved once he heard it,
About how Mother Earth was mal-formed.

Yes the poor bedraggled planet,
Has seen much better days long before,
Until man, that strange interloper,
Against sweet Mother Nature made War!

As if we had just emerged from a jungle,
Sore winner in fang against claw,
Determined as h$ll to stay king of the hill,
While ignoring the prime Jungle Law,

In Nature, all is contentment,
No struggles or fighting like brats,
So the meek will then surely inherit,
Prime earth as the feces of cats.

Now, he knew that all of us wanted,
To leave the Earth better than found,
So he figured the best way to fix it,
Was if none of us were around.

No bloodshed or nasty violence,
He would do things with grace and with style,
By taxing us down to our very last breath,
The fixing would take a short while.

In the meantime the lad makes his money,
By selling permissions to sin.
There’s nothing so new in the concept,
But now what was out is so IN!

Recall the carboniferous era?
It’s coming around with a spite,
And the ghosts once so peacefully sleeping,
Have returned and are eager to fight!

Now surrender your flames and your killing,
Eat veggies just like Momma said,
And try to go easy on breathing,
Al will turn off the lights when you’re dead.
