Good morning!
2 primaries tomorrow.
Rev. Wright gave an astonishing, jaw-dropping speech before the NAACP last night. Will it be covered by the MSM? Is this the kind of speech we need to get beyond the race issue - Obama's first position during this campaign season, OR to confront honestly this country's racial history - Obama's second , post-Wright position, during this campaign season?
I understand the Rev. will be talking at the National Press Club this morning....covered probably by CSPAN.
To all who responded with advice and prayers to my church comments yesterday: thank you so much. I've probably left someone off the ping list...
Jemian, I've thought about the PCA, yes. That's the church I was baptized and confirmed in oh-so-many moons ago. There are 2 in my area...not close but...Thanks for the link.
There is more than the overall UCC problem. I'll explain further at some point.
My husband, who feels certain obligations to the congregation is likely to stay put, at least for awhile.
Dolly, I'd already resigned from the homeless operation due to my mother's situation and the time/energy elements....so that's not an issue. 4 years was enough anyway.
It’s easy to over-do at this stage because you’re starting to feel stronger but you are still healing and energy is limited. It may be better to approach those tasks in stages with rest periods inbetween.
Good morning Molly and everybody. Daughter is safely back in the country. It’s almost difficult to believe she’s here. But it was wonderful to chat with her last night in person and start hearing about her experiences and impressions of Spain, England etc.
We are go to clothes shopping today. Joy-joy. LOL
I’m not an eager shopper under any circumstances, but will go along and be driver, and offer opinions if they are sought.
How about Ding-Dong throwing Rev. HateAmerica under the bus yesterday! Does ding-dong think we are so stupid we won’t remember his nonchalant initial response to those vile things Wright said about our country??

Re-reading my post to Molly, it seems I need that number TWO cup of coffee myself!
I enjoyed reading the “Getting to know John McCain” article. While it would be to his advantage to speak of the things mentioned in the article, it’s better that others speak of them. I never did like the “tooting your own horn” mentality.
I may become a pariah, but I’ll just go on record now as saying I’m not opposed to John McCain. There were many times I thought he won the debates hands down. He was the one who I felt could be trusted with our safety. If we have no safety, we have nothing else that matters.
Now, I know, he was against fences on the borders (an issue near and dear to my heart), and I’ll admit, I don’t understand that mentality, but still, he seems to be a man who could be a real “bad ass” if it was necessary. And sometimes, it is.
As far as salazar is concerned, they are all the same to me. Arrogant, America-hating, military-loathing, selfish, power-hungry, socialistic radical liberals.
Yes
Good Morning Everyone. I missed y’all. PA was absolutely beautiful. Everything looked so fresh and clean, the cherry trees in bloom with other flowering trees. We loved the visit. We drove from Ft Indiantown Gap to Lancaster. Roomey asked if there were Amish farms close by and was quickly told the group was not Amish but AUmish. We even mispronounced Lancaster, it’s Lankister. But then we have some funny sounding places too. We had such a good time and ran into some nobama voters, I almost fainted. They didn’t like ole broadbeam, they said she was a liar. LOL, no kidding! Dropped by the American Legion and had one of the best NY strip steaks and one of the worst martinis in a long time. The people were so friendly, of course we were accepted as brothers and sisters in arms. We thoroughly enjoyed the group.
Welcome back.
Oh Bit, you are so funny. In Germany, I used to take the wine and have it blessed for the service. I really, really don’t like the taste of church wine. Father would use it. But here, Roomey is a Presby, so I go to his church. They use grapejuice, I think. It is quite different than the Episcopal church I attended. AND the music....different. It is very difficult changing and my heart goes out to Molly.
Molly, I know you will find a church to your liking. I’ll keep you in my prayers.
great job on HTML Dolly.... /sarc
First Dog Food and now medicine for humans. Time we quite “outsourcing”?
Oooops, misbehaving fingers,,,,again. quite = quit.
Good morning! I’m here! I’m here! I have just been busy and lurk more than I post!
LOL!! My m-i-l used to cal them Amish not Aumish too. I forgot that most people not from the area call it Lancaster not Lankister. It’s a shame you didn’t get ot Maple Grove and the Shady Maple Restaurant. It is run by the Amish and they cook all of the food there. I’ve spent some good times over-eating at their buffet!
Glad you had a good time in PA. Bit and I can attest to having some mighty fine people there!
Thanks for the prayers up. She required a platelet transfusion yesterday. Her count was quite low.
