The inlaws would like a word to help us define our relationships.
Is there a name for the relationship the parents have to each other?
We are more like sisters than inlaws. Explaining the marriages makes
your brain explode so we'd like to find a short name to tell the story
more succinctly.
My daughter is her brother's cousin in-law.
My son is his sister's cousin in-law.
My daughter's mother in law is her brother's aunt.
My son's mother in-law is his sister's aunt.

Yup, I had a similar problem when I was growing up. My first cousin because my dad and his dad were brothers married my mother’s youngest sister who was my aunt.

Doesn't really take artistic talent, just an ability to spacially visualize relationships --something that not everybody has.
Last year I drew up a chart of all the technical committees I was involved with [at the time], my involvement with each, and all the other related committees and their "lines of communication." It was a pretty impressive, even daunting, diagram but the engineers who saw it just went "Hmmmm..." and understood what they'd never grasped from verbal communications.
I started to draw a diagram but realized I didn't know the particulars of your daughter's husband's relationship to his cousin.
The traditional English expressions of relationships tend to break down when more than one relationship exists. For example, I know of two sisters, the younger of which (stop to think) is also aunt to the older; the same situation produces a daughter who is sister to the mother. [Situation: grandmother adopted one of her granddaughters.]

my dad’s brother was married to my mom’s sister... there’s nothing strange about that except that my siblings and i were “cheated” out of a whole set of cousins... and so were my cousins...

Got it and have it charted...
But I just got home from a week on the East coast (it's 1:30 AM body clock) and am on deck for the church service tomorrow (with the Archbishop!), so I'll try to come back with the diagram tomorrow.
This one doesn't seem to actually lead to lots of confusion, if I have charted it correctly.
