lysie, glad you are on the mend. Mr. Prairie still experiences the sudden fatigue that lingers with this crud. It’s making him crabby.
IMO, the fatigue is worse than any other symptom I had. I understand Mr. P’s crabbiness. Poor guy probably feels well enough to do something and then ...wham..gets hit with weakness.

Democratic state Senator from Long Beach, Alan Lowenthal, who is a longtime professor of "community psychology" at Cal State Long Beach, has introduced a bill to allow Communist groups to use space in the schools and to allow Communists to teach in the schools.
As originally framed, the bill would have even removed the section of the California Education Code that states, "No teacher giving instruction in any school, or on any property belonging to any agencies included in the public school system, shall advocate or teach communism with the intent to indoctrinate or to inculcate in the mind of any pupil a preference for communism."
I do - small correction. Mexifornia. I was going to post that to the Mexifornia board, but it’s apparently “under construction or repair.” Couldn’t access it.
The elected officials out here throw lots of cccrap against the wall and hope some of it sticks.
About a month ago, they outlawed home-schooling. That lasted about 15 minutes.

I’ve found it generally serves me best not to engage in freepmail with people I don’t know well. If somebody I don’t know freepmails me, I have a standard reply that I send by explaining why I didn’t open their message and encouraging them to find a way to post to me on the boards.
I almost never hear anything else from them.
On the rare instances that I freepmail somebody I don’t know well, I always at least post to them on the thread asking them for a reply. But that’s rare.
Probably good advice considering what happened. I thought I was being discreet and accommodating. What did I know?

I’m afraid the Negros of this country, who back Nobama, have been sold a bag of no-goods. He can’t even register as an American Negro. He is 7/16th Arab. His whole name blasts ARAB. So...not being an American Negro, but passing as on, what does this “passer” have in store for American Negros and America?

In the years leading up to 1998, Lowenthal was part of the Long Beach City council which decided that the best use of the land formerly occupied by the U.S. Navy was to hand it over to COSCO (China Overseas Shipping Company.) When I lived in Long Beach in 1998, he personally appeared at my door asking for my vote for State Assembly. I informed him that I was moving from Long Beach to San Pedro, and he responded that the Assembly District included San Pedro. Sure enough, it was one of those gerrymandered districts with the two cities connected by a small strip of waterfront land. In short, it was “contiguous – at low tide.”
While in the Assembly, he proudly removed the toll from the Vincent Thomas Bridge. That saved me 50 cents on those occasions when I might use the Bridge to visit Long Beach. It also freed the container truck traffic to use my side of town to exit the port.
Term limits got him out of my Assembly seat and into the State Senate. When term limits force him out of the Senate, where will he go? If there’s no political appointment available, he has an open seat at Cal State University Long Beach – that bastion of academia which legitimized a convicted felon turned avowed Marxist, Ron Karenga – an adopted name meaning “nationalist” – and thus gave us a made-up holiday called “Kwanzaa.”
Karenga is now gone from CSULB. Does Lowenthal want to replace him as “House Marxist?” This legislation would guarantee him a lot of freedom.
