I once asked one of those posters in a private message zso as not to disturb the others about their post. I really wanted to understand it but felt this was something not everyone one the thread needed to discuss.
Boy, was that a mistake! I got slammed for nto asking in the open, was told I was probably not a conservative because I didn't ask on the thread, and was called several other names to boot. The nicest thing I could think of to say after that was if one looked in the dictionary they'd find this persons picture after the word nasty.
Gosh! I had to call the fire department after that to put out the flames! LOL!!
Actually, it bothered me for a while, but I managed to let it go.

I’ve found it generally serves me best not to engage in freepmail with people I don’t know well. If somebody I don’t know freepmails me, I have a standard reply that I send by explaining why I didn’t open their message and encouraging them to find a way to post to me on the boards.
I almost never hear anything else from them.
On the rare instances that I freepmail somebody I don’t know well, I always at least post to them on the thread asking them for a reply. But that’s rare.

Wow! I had no idea that freepmails are used that way. On occasion I have freepmailed someone I don’t know, but that is because my topic is off-topic for the thread. My intention was to avoid side-tracking the issue. Yikes! I’ll have to be careful.

And I’m betting you remember their screenname too.
