Now, I know my memory isn't what it used to be, but didn't Clinton veto the welfare reform bills at least twice? IOW, before being basically forced to finally sign on?

Well, prairie, we all know that one does not necessarily keep those positions or promises once in office. So in my opinion, Clinton was just running true to form.

I don't rememberthe Sistah Suljah incident at all. Call it a senior monment if you will, but I just can't recall it myself. BUT I believe it! Did he support freetrade? Is this writer referring to NAFTA? Isn't it widely purported that NAFTA has lost many jobs for Americans?

Yep, he ripped SS and rap in general for 'intolerance'...and he WAS out to lunch on the budget, welfare, and a whole lot more until the magic of a Repub Congress in '94 literally forced him to see the light.

He takes credit for the resulting balanced budget, but there was no way he bought into it for a minute.

And this is where Nobama totally drops the ball: Where is his Sista Souljah Moment? Where is Nobama even appearing to be open to meeting anybody half-way? He is running ads in PA right now talking about reviving Jimmah's Windfall Profits Tax on Big Oil ('cept he actually comes out and calls it a Windfall Profits PENALTY)...He is as collectivist as they come, and he will wreck not only the economy and the Presidency for years to come if he is elected...;-))

I could half-way believe Clinton being forced to see the light by a republican congress in 1996, but the WSJ references his supposed kinship with conservatives in his 1992 bid.

Otherwise, any comment he made about the Sistah and rap, was probably gauged in his campaign war room and focus groups to be what the majority of voters wanted to hear, I’d wager.

Oh, Sistah is a rap rat. No wonder I don't remember her/him....

Ok, totally off the topic, but I need advice. the Hair Cuttery is down the street and about half way up the next block. I can see it fro mmy center. I need to go there and I don't swing on these crutches as well as I used to, say, about 40 years ago. Do I go for it? or do I stay put and try to getthere after work?

Oh yes, it was a brilliant political move which meant nothing at all...Do you also remember Clinton’s campaign telling all the grievance groups: ‘Just shut up for now. You’ll all get what you want if you just shut up for now’???

You know, I am still trying to get a grip on this story about Hitlery being fired from the House Committee staff because of the lying and all that. I am stunned: she was exactly as bad at 27 as she is now!!! (Except back then she was carrying Kennedy water!) I guess a leopard really can’t change her spots...;-))

The most telling thing about that story about Hillary is not the lying, but that the account was released in a book form and Zeifman doesn't know if she got royalties on it or not.

I say of COURSE she got the royalties; it's her MO: advocate Marxist actions while turning a profit on the side!

Hmmm, that sound familiar Bit. My klinton memory is blanking out in some areas. You’ve got good recall.

Had it not been for the Republicans in 1994 I don’t think there would have been a welfare reform bill. The Republicans are responsible for forcing ole bill to sign it.

From the time she and bill entered the whitehouse, the screaming media painted over her lying spots, Bit. Now they have someone else they want in the whitehouse so they can all jump on the klintons for their past lies, ‘cause they ain’t ‘fraid of ‘em now. But what if she wins...horrors of horrors....what will the screaming media do then? Our popcorn time will last a few extra days.
