1. - Yes. Rather unfortunately, my team was not in the NCAA tournament.
2. - Nothing special. I wake up and go to bed at the same times regardless. I’m thinking that as the weather gets nicer, some games of ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, etc., may be in order.
3. - Fortunately, I don’t have to pay income tax as of yet. If I did, it would go towards tuition or an xbox 360.
No and I don't know. Right now the Braves are on Peachtree TV. I'm glad because I love watching them on tv in the hot humid evenings.
2. What are you doing with your extra hour of daylight in the evenings?
Watch tv. Once I get home and come in the house the sky can do whatever it wants.
3. What will you do with your tax rebate check?
I pray I won't have an emergency. I want to save it.
Yes, although when your friend gets married or finds a girlfriend, you have to be friends with them too, and that can be slightly dicey.
Less Attractive member of the couple
Not sure I agree with this one, I suppose it depends on what your definition of attractive is. Metrosexual men, or men who very obviously spend more time getting ready than I do are a turn off. I am old fashioned. I prefer a Man. You know, conservative, family values, understands that right and wrong actually mean right and wrong... and they are hard to meet in person. (Especially if you know only a few people in town, and they are all FReepers!!) :-)
Bonus Questions
1. Have you been following the NCAA basketball tournament? How are your teams doing?
Don't follow basketball, but I was in Vegas for the first rounds and there were some really close games, those last couple of minutes are pretty exciting. :-)
2. What are you doing with your extra hour of daylight in the evenings?
Being Happy I don't have to drive home in the dark. I hate driving at night. I'm a total nervous nelly about driving at night. lol
3. What will you do with your tax rebate check?
I already spent my standard, paid down on a card. I'm going to do the same thing with the rebate in May. $600.00 will darn near pay the thing off. YEA!
Sheesh... I am so BORING!
2. Yard work
3. Buy tires for my car.
Up and down season for them at one time it looked as if they were going to win the Premiership title easily and now recently have had several hick-cups and Manchester United are 6 points clear.
Fingers crossed for Arsenal in the European Champions Cup they have drawn Liverpool in the next round so at least one English team will get through to the next stage.
Well my extra hour does not start till today (Sunday) so have not really thought but it does mean I now have the option of feeding the pigeons after work rather than rush at lunch time.
Well tax rebate not relevant to me in fact I am looking at a tax and national insurance increase in April but I have withdrawn from company pension because due to government regs it is almost becoming too expensive to run a pension scheme and the company scheme costs keep rising each year for the same or reduced benefits so with my annual increase my net income will be a little bit more than at present.
To keep pace with reduced benefits that we have had to accept over the last 2 - 3 years I would have to pay out 10 per cent of my salary and to be frank it is just not worth it. I have about 25 years of pension at the higher rate which will give me at least some pension apart from the state pension when I retire so at present I am just freezing my company pension and using the extra cash to supplement the extra cost of food plus buying a few essentials for the house such as new curtain, blinds and at least one carpet.
Maybe in 2 or 3 years when regs etc have settled and maybe the stock market is more stable I may go back into the company scheme or start a new private pension of my own but I just have to see what circumstances are then.
I need the money now not in 20 years time.
1. Have you been following the NCAA basketball tournament? How are your teams doing?
No. Basketball is NOT my sport. Fishing...now, THERE'S a sport. Salmon fishing. In Alaska. Yeaaaahhhhhh...
2. What are you doing with your extra hour of daylight in the evenings?
Up here, an extra hour is basically meaningless. Daylight is growing by about 6 minutes a day, last time I checked.
3. What will you do with your tax rebate check?
I think I'm going to stash it away somewhere and use it for mad money. I like the idea of having a few large-denomination bills hidden here and there. Hubby thought it was a good idea, too, and after he died, I found $1,000 in hundreds stashed in his dresser. Man, did that ever come in handy!
