Shutting down a few factories will not help the problem enough to make it non-existent. I think both China and the Olympic committee will regret having it there before this is over.

There was a dust-up earlier at the torch lighting ceremony in Greece. This is supposed to be an around-the-world race to bring the flame to China. Free Tibet protestors attempted to interupt the head Chinese guy’s speech and unfurl a banner. Having it in China only focuses world attention on how bad the communist system is and on how awful they treat their own people.

The Olympics is not going to be a quiet little sports event this time around.

Which brings me to another one of my soap box topics: how in the world can people accuse the US of being such a bad polluter?

China

India

Indonesia

Mexico

Even Singapore

I am sure that any world traveler can attest to the low standards of other countries. Poverty is no excuse. You don’t have to throw trash on the grounds and in the lakes and streams. Period. End of paragraph.

Environmentalism is a new-found tool of the lefty-Nazis for purposes other than the stated aims.

Environmentalism is a new-found tool of the lefty-Nazis for purposes other than the stated aims.

Well my father saw the statists' goals via radical environmentalism as long ago as the late 80s/early 90s. The movement was anti-private property, and thus anti-freedom in his eyes.

Now it's time to get going, and I'll be back later...

Just stopping by to say Good Morning. Still working (excuse me! volunteering) full time at the Clinic. Hopefully! today will be the last day I have to fill in for a LONG time.

We had snow flurries here last Thursday - the 1st day of spring! Unusual for the North Oregon Coast....global warming, of course.

I continue to watch the political drama with amazement....the late night liberal talk show host (ray talifero) is literally foaming at the mouth over PRESIDENT OBAMA and some of his callers give the impression there will be "blood in the streets" if Hillary steals the presidency from him.

Wow! What a morning I’m having. All 3 of our computers were acting up at one point. I’m using Greg’s. Sarah’s, I can’t get the toolbar to be one line no matter what I do. Mine...no keyboard will allow me to type. The mouse works, though. Greg’s was sllllloooooowwwwww earlier. Now it seems to be fine.
