Chris Wallace In the Tank For Obama?
Vanity
Posted on 03/21/2008 8:33:58 AM PDT by Retired Chemist
Chris Wallace really went after the Fox and Friends crew this morning for spending a too much time discussing Obama's just a typical white person remark. He needs to move over to MSNBC.

I heard him on Fox & Friends this morning. Sounded like he was admonishing the three for bashing Obama because of his pastor. I wanted to puke.

But ... but ... but Obama wanted to start a dialogue on race.

The old apple (say that with two fingers in your mouth for the word I WANTED to use there) doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
It just takes something like this incident to bring out their true colors.

Nope, chris was kinda on the mark.....the quote was out of conext and when bracketed within total text of the statement was hardly offensive......
The real issue here is Obama’s continued association woth Wright and the rhetoric he espouses.
I belbieve was trying to be fair and cut through the clutter to the real issue.....

... he was admonishing the three for bashing Obama because of his pastor. I wanted to puke. I do not blame Obama for the racist venom of his pastor.
I blame Obama for listening to that racist venom for 20 years and not condemning it until it was politically expedient for him to do so.

Na, Chris is just another beltway liberal, ie, “typical guilty white man”.
He obviously, (like his media peers), are afraid to talk about it because Hussein threatened them with being called racist if they continued.
It's very simple.

Darn, I missed it...I tuned out after Brian, for the second morning, gushed and gushed over Obama and his speech. What the heck is wrong with him lately?

Funny but he was a member of the VRWC when he dared question Bill Clinton.

Maybe Wallace doesn't get it. Maybe he doesn't see that the Wright video AND BHO’s response to it has worked on American voters like pulling a curtain away which had obscured something ghastly and indecent... something which needs to be acknowledged about beliefs held by SOME African Americans. It's there and no mistaking the support and approval Wright was getting in the video. The genie is out of the bottle and this story had more legs than a centipede. That a single American of ANY hue would believe as Wright does is bad enough, but that enough Americans believe it to support a minister who counts a US Presidential candidate as a parrishoner and friend is a gagantuan story!!!

I'm so glad you started a thread on this. I was going to do it myself when I watched Wallace earlier, but got side-tracked.
I have the whole thing on videotape. What an A$$! Steve Doosey was REEEEEALY pi$$ed. He said something to the effect that "if you had a comment to make to us, why didn't you send us an email instead of doing it on live TV."
At the end, Wallace said, "still love you guys." and Steve said, "Yeah - you have a funny way of showing it", or words to that effect.
I'd have to re-wind the tape to get the exact transcript of what was said, but as far as I'm concerned, Wallace came off as a real a$$ and Brian Kilmeade and the gang did a good job, of taking it right back to him.
Just who the h*ll does that pompous PC a$$ think he is? He sounded just like BOR.
I hope talk radio makes mincemeat out of Wallace today.

the statement was hardly offensiveSo if John McCain were to make a comment about "the typical black person" that would be received as hardly offensive?

Simple for some, possibly...
I have no “white” guilt and thought the out-of-quote context was unfair and biased....
Plus, it’s an convienent distraction from the real issue of Obama’s association with Wright.....
If you by into the “white grandmother” argument you make this an issue regarding race which plays cleverly into Obama’s strategy to mask the real problem.
The issue is Obama’s association with a radical hate-spewing racist leftist and his unwillingness to distance himself is the problem.
