Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life? Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Lets laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness in a quiet American suburb.

“Waiting for Guiteau” — or has he already arrived and done away with Garfield?
To: JennysCool
Garfield is a disreputable disgusting murderer.

Or perhaps Garfield has become the Cheshire Cat.
It’s just refreshing having him gone!

Garfield is a disreputable disgusting murderer. You're right, of course.

Me too. I think it’s a great idea. I think a cult may form.

Great stuff ... for another example of altered comic strips, featuring far more crude humor (not for the easily offended), search the Web for “The Dilbert Hole.”

Funny and pretty sad that I can kind of relate to Jon.
I like this one best. It made me laugh.

Funny and pretty sad that I can kind of relate to Jon.I meant his 'exciting' life, not this:
schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?
Just had to clear that up ; )
