My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Between FR and my ISP, I've been mostly without internet, so I'm way behind. I'll be back after some sleep with some Sunday/Palm Sunday music.
Good morning, Lairites

Chinese are making it bad in Tibet? Not the Tibetans, right?
How can they have the olympics in China when you can’t breathe?

Nothing more mellow than a field of Poppies
on a cold and snowy day
I lift my head and close my eyes
to wander in these fields to play
and dream of Spring's delights in May
of Daffodils, and Honeysuckle along the road side.
The smell of earth warming her beds
anticipating the green of fern opening
her dress to hear the song of the Cardinal
and Chickadee, awakened by the warm morning sun
Ah, these days will soon come
when barefoot I go into the garden,
as I did years ago.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
John McCrae

Is it that bad in So Cal?
I’m not athletic and still wouldn’t go to Bejing. They had live video from there just a few days ago and the whole place was filled with blue smoke.

Beautiful and sad that so many go
to lay beneath the fields of snow
in Spring when warm winds blow
the Poppy Fields of Flanders glow.

Your poppy photo was so beautiful they reminded me of the poem.
I wonder why it’s poppies and not forge-me-nots or roses or daffodils.
