As a single male stoat who has never experienced the joys and Blessings of parenthood firsthand, let me say right up front that I'm in no position to comment coherently on the topic of Motherhood per se. I'm merely posting this article because it mirrors many of my own feelings, namely that Moms are severely under-appreciated and they are The Most Important People :-)
And Conservative Moms? Well, in my view, they are the Crown of Creation and the Light of the Universe....they are easily God's finest Work.
So, here's raising a glass in my furry paw to all of the great Moms out there....I'm hoping that those around you will make you feel appreciated every single day! :-)

My husband once told me that men are internally jealous of women because they bring forth life, so in order to compete with this gift from women men invented math.

Thanks for the drink, Mr. Stoat! The spouse, children, and pets all agree that moderate amounts of the Good Stuff improve me greatly :-).

If she think its bad being a Mom in “society”, try being a Dad. To those who never are appreciated by the elitists.

Motherhood is the hardest job I've ever had to do in my entire life! Sometimes a mother feels she was put on earth to learn how to take crap and come back for more. Those are the bad days. The good days are sublime.
Thank you for the appreciating us and the job we do.

Wow...you sound like a really nice guy. So many threads on FR are insulting toward women, blaming us for everything that’s wrong with the world, that there are certain topics I don’t even click on...and some I click on and then regret it immediately. So it’s very refreshing to find a post like yours! Thanks, and my compliments to your parents!

I sure hope you do get the chance to enjoy parenthood. Second only to spousehood, IMO!
Thanks for the thread and the ping!

I would concur with the article and because motherhood is the greatest job in the world, mothers are also the luckiest people in the world! : )

And Conservative Moms? Well, in my view, they are the Crown of Creation and the Light of the Universe....they are easily God's finest Work. I guess I could be classified as one of those, although I think I may have done my job too well. My one and only offspring grew up to be Libertarian. LOL
I'd have to say, I think my son is God's finest work, I just helped a bit. ;-)

Someone once said, "Your true vocation is the thing you cannot live without." If that's true, then mine was motherhood.
Mothers might well deserve the words (although they were used in another context): "You are a good and faithful servant. You have done the work that I have given you to do."
