As a single male stoat who has never experienced the joys and Blessings of parenthood firsthand, let me say right up front that I'm in no position to comment coherently on the topic of Motherhood per se.  I'm merely posting this article because it mirrors many of my own feelings, namely that Moms are severely under-appreciated and they are The Most Important People  :-)

And Conservative Moms?  Well, in my view, they are the Crown of Creation and the Light of the Universe....they are easily God's finest Work.

So, here's raising a glass in my furry paw to all of the great Moms out there....I'm hoping that those around you will make you feel appreciated every single day!   :-)

Thank you, for the best off-politics thread of the week.

Awwww...((((blushing))))  Why thank you so much for your very kind and gracious words!

Truthfully though, how could I possibly see an article like this and NOT post it at Free Republic?  There are, I believe, at least a few folks around here who either are a Mom or knew a Mom at one time or another, after all   :-)

Thank you again for your kind words, and here's an Adult Beverage of your choice for your enjoyment and refreshment.

My husband once told me that men are internally jealous of women because they bring forth life, so in order to compete with this gift from women men invented math.

ROTFLMAO!!!

I know it's a common stereotype that 'ladies don't like math' but I must tell you that the two finest advanced mathematics professors that I had in college were both ladies  :-)

Their overall brilliance and ease with the subject was truly something to behold.

But I do agree that the fact that Ladies are the Bearers of Life is one of the many things that make ladies worthy of everyone's utmost respect, courtesy and deference.

Indeed!

(Although, you have so many set out there on the table I'm hoping that they can all be kept away from the children :-))

Thanks for the drink, Mr. Stoat! The spouse, children, and pets all agree that moderate amounts of the Good Stuff improve me greatly :-).

On the one hand, I’m just glad it’s over (my kids are grown) but on the other hand, I can’t WAIT to be a Grandma! :)

Five more years; let them finish college, get good jobs, marry and THEN start a family...

If she think its bad being a Mom in “society”, try being a Dad. To those who never are appreciated by the elitists.

#2 son is a sr this year. Just turned 18 last week. I jokingly told hubby, “You know, we can legally kick him out now!” Somedays I wish I had more kids and somedays I just wish....

Grands are great!!! Only got one, a year old Feb 20. If I’d known how much fun they were, I’d definitely have had him first!
