The doctor was doing her job, get over it. I was on some decent drugs after an injury and noticed an interesting side affect during the week that I was taking them. I was not hungry and lost weight (I need to lose weight). On the follow up visit with my GP, I mentioned this and asked if that stuff can be prescribed for weight loss. His words:
"No. For the same reason you do not see many fat crack addicts. Hydracodone is an addictive narcotic. It is a controlled version of heroin. Eat less and exercise."
This is why I am not a doctor today (and still overweight I suppose).

Just hang on. Once we get socialized health care, these pesky problems that crop up because we don't have universal health care that will go away.
If we had universal health care, the doctor would have known exactly what to do, you'd have no pain today, you would live forever, and the cost of your care would have been paid for by me.
Just hang on.

Healthcare People just love giving out Tylenol. There are a small number of people for which this med has no effect. I am one of them. Aspiring is fine and Aleve is good, but taking Tylenol is no more effective than a sugar pill and not as god tasting.

Did you go late Friday afternoon? That’s when druggies like to go. The doctor is unfamiliar with the new patient and the “patient” wants drugs for all weekend long. Ask any new doctor just opening a practice.
