Those are great pics, thanks for posting.
We have a pair of Canadian geese that nest on an island in our pond every year and they have arrived and started demanding to be fed corn and bird seed! We also have some wood ducks that nest in a box on the edge of the pond, but they are so shy that I'll never get a photo of them ... they take off or go to the far end of the pond every time I stick my head out of the back door.

My #2 son loves wildlife, loves to take pics. He came in one day all excited, showed me his latest. I asked him how he got so close. He replied, “I got on my belly and crawled. They never saw me.” When I asked him where, and he told me, all I could do was shake my head and call the dr.s office. That boy could look at a picture of poison ivy and get it. He got some great pics, but he crawled thru a huge patch of dormant poison ivy to get them!

I really enjoy the long zoom and stabilized lenses on my cameras, you don’t need to get so close. You lose some fine detail at longer range, but still can get shots you couldn’t get otherwise. The way to get the woodies is just sit still by the pond, let them come to you.

I don't have any fancy camera equipment in the way of lenses, etc., although I should probably set my sights on some with all of the beauty that I have here. I will try harder with the woodies. They are quite beautiful.
We used to have quite a few mallards in the yard as well, but they have taken to using one of the other ponds in a more remote part of the property.

From the title I thought this was a warning to Hillary’s staff after the next polls are released.

A guy walks into a bar with a duck on his head. He sits down at the bar and begins to read the menu.
The bartender comes up to the customer and says
"We don't serve ducks in here!"
Whereupon the duck says, "That's not what the menu says!"

My TC lens isn’t threaded, I need to epoxy in an adapter so I can use a CPL on it. The water glare can really be tough to deal with.
