Happy Wedesday to you, too:)

"Bear Hugs"

It's a bit warm here for polar bears though, a sunny gorgeous day!!

Ohhhh ..... how sweet both of your graphics are, Dita!
Mid 70’s are predicted for this week-end but it is suppose to cool down to the mid 60’s next week.
I’m sooo ready for spring weather and spring flowers.

P.S. The jasmine is blooming here; I can smell it at night.
Also, the sycamores are starting to leaf out.
This is so exciting. The flowers will be beautiful due to all the rain we got...:):)

The flowers will be beautiful due to all the rain we got...:):) Yes, they will. I am hoping that we can take a day and drive up to the high desert and see the wildflowers this spring. They should be spectacular this year.
My jasmine isn't blooming yet, it will be a few more weeks, I think. You have warmer temperatures down your way than we do up here. I did notice my lilac is putting out buds, so in a few weeks, it should put on it's annual show.
There is something in the air that is really kicking up my allergies though, must be the ornamental fruit trees that are blooming everywhere. I am living on antihistamines. :-(

The Polar Bear never makes his bed;
He sleeps on a cake of ice instead.
He has no blanket, no quilt, no sheet
Except the rain and snow and sleet.
He drifts about on a white ice floe
While cold winds howl and blizzards blow
And the temperature drops to forty below.
The Polar Bear never makes his bed;
The blanket he pulls up over his head
Is lined with soft and feathery snow.
If ever he rose and turned on the light,
He would find a world of bathtub white,
And icebergs floating through the night.

The ground stays too warm here to grow lilacs, so you are blessed to have those.
Do you go to Lompoc to see the flower fields?

Do you go to Lompoc to see the flower fields? Oh, yes.....many years ago when we used to live in Santa Barbara. Spectacular color! Well, worth the drive over to the coast.
For those who don't know, flowers are grown by seed companies in the Lompoc, CA area. Acre after acre of beautiful color. I would love to see it in person from the air. Wouldn't a hot air balloon ride over the flower fields be an amazing experience?
I did a google search and found this. Don't know when it was taken. The flower flag is beautiful and had to be very difficult to create. The plantings to the side of the flag are pretty too. It looks like multicolored fabric.

"The flag is planted, there are 9+ miles of flower fields that go all the way to the ocean. The flowers are grown by seed companies. It's a beautiful place, close to Vandenberg AFB. Check out the dimensions of the flag. The Floral Flag is 740 feet long and 390 feet wide and maintains the proper Flag dimensions, as described in Executive Order #10834. This Flag is 6.65 acres and is the first Floral Flag to be planted with 5 pointed Stars, comprised of White Larkspur. Each Star is 24 feet in diameter; each Stripe is 30 feet wide. This Flag is estimated to contain more than 400,000 Larkspur plants, with 4-5 flower stems each, for a total of more than 2 million flowers.
