We'll have to get by without much coffee, chocolate and any other imported luxuries.
With no income from exports to the US, and the US aid well utterly dry, most of the people in the third world will have to get by without food.
Well Nully, don’t worry, it will soon be “FREE”!! *SHRUG* CO
I’m not worried. (I can still afford my meds)...
At first impression, yes.
but then I started wondering ... what makes us think any of those guys can read?
Assuming you survive until your name comes up on the list for an available ambulance.
That may not be a good thing. My neighbor, a long retired distinguished veteran of the British Empire's army was stricken with a particularly painful form of bone cancer. When the day for his treatment arrived, the unionized ambulance crew wheeled him on a gurney to the curb, then noted that it was noon and an unannounced "work stoppage" had been called. They left him in the road.
When the dems finish with us, we'll probably enjoy similar "free" treatment.
That is what concerns me. I guess we will have two choices....stay healthy or die quickly.
Was it a “habit” or a “hobbit”? LOL!
True. We may have given them waaaay too much credit.
There you have it, mind-numbed robots who have turned over their humanity, their very souls to a union. What an absolute disgrace.
Iowa Woman Selling Her TVs - Reason: 'Obama On Every Channel and Station'
By Seton Motley, July 30, 2009 - 09:02 ETIt is a bit of an understatement to say that when it comes to dominating the media, President Barack Obama is perhaps unequalled by any politician ever. Michael Jackson was the King of Pop, Obama the King of Pols.
The Publisher of NewsBusters.org, Brent Bozell, wrote his syndicated column about the media's full-court Obama press just this week. In which he accurately points out that while the journalistic class remains utterly infatuated with the man, it appears that the American people are begining to reach their saturation point.
So let us now turn our attention to an item in yesterday's Daily Times Herald in Carroll, Iowa entitled "Carroll woman's answer to highly visible Obama: Selling her televisions."
A 78-year-old Carroll woman says she's so tired of seeing President Barack Obama on the airwaves that she's selling her television sets - two of them.Deloris Nissen, a retired nurses' aide and former Kmart employee who was raised on a farm near Audubon, placed a classified advertisement with The Daily Times Herald for Friday's paper.
In the $5.50 ad, Nissen tells readers she has two television sets for sale.
The reason: "Obama on every channel and station."
In an interview Nissen said she is serious about selling two TVs - and genuine about her disgust with what she believes to be an overexposed president.
"I just got tired of watching him on every channel," Nissen said. "I thought, my gosh, does he ever stay at the White House?"
That is what the public relations experts might call overexposure.
Granted, Ms. Nissen did not vote for Obama last year, so she had a head start towards having seen enough.
Nissen, who voted for U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in the 2008 presidential election, said she could live with seeing Obama come on television to make serious announcements. But he seems to be on all the time, Nissen said. When the president does appear on a channel she happens to be watching, Nissen said, she quickly turns.
"I have the remote real handy," Nissen said. "I have the batteries. I'm ready for him."
Nissen's annoyance with the president as a frequent presence on her television doesn't mean she'll abandon the medium altogether.
She's keeping a bigger flat-screen television and selling an older 20-inch Sony and possibly a 13-inch set.
-snip-
For her part, Nissen said she expects to take some flack for the advertisement in her local paper. After all, Obama did win Iowa and Carroll County in the 2008 election.
But she's not worried about any criticism.
"I'm an old lady, and I don't care," Nissen said.
Like I said, she's hanging in there.
I hope she knows she isn't alone in her Obama overload. Somehow I think she does, but perhaps she doesn't care about that either.
Cheers to her
My niece is a Paramedic catpuppy and they are not Unionized. They are actually employed by what;s called “Interior Health Services”. They must attend every call and I believe they would be fired if they ever left a patient on a gurney on the roadside. That’s incredible. Canada is not quite like Britian yet. We don’t have the same amount of population for one thing. I think that makes a major difference. Britian is literally stacked and packed with people. CO
Good for her. But those without TVs won’t be able to view the spectacle of his rapidly declining popularity.

July 30, 2009
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 28% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12. Thats the lowest rating yet recorded for President Obama
She was living in a small village when she dislocated her knee. They took her to a hospital in Verona to what was supposed to be an "emergency" room. She said it looked like something out of a movie, an older building with lots of arches, doors opening onto a promenade with more arches. An attendant put her in a large open area with lots of beds where she waited and waited and waited. At one point she saw a cat stroll into the rooom, look around and leave. LOL She could hear the staff chatting about personal matters, seemingly oblivious to her pain. Unaware that she spoke Italian, they mockingly referred to her at one point as a soft, coddled American. When she addressed them in Italian they made a brief pretense of concern for her well being.
Finally, they worked on her knee, put a brace on it, gave her a few pills and sent her on her way.
Fluid built up, she had to make a return visit. Pretty much the same scenario as before... the waiting, the indifference. Finally, her knee was drained.
Back to her apt, the pain worsened, an infection had developed, probably a result of the unsanitary conditions at the hospital. At this point the church intervened, first taking her to a hospital in Milan, then decided it was best to send her home. Her church chartered a plane and brought her home to a hospital here in town. She lost a good bit of the flexibility in that knee, about 20%, but she finally received the proper treatment.
That is an example of the excellant treatment you receive with socialized medicine.
I wonder what ever happened to Grandpa?
Libby it doesn’t work that way here SO FAR. Our name does not have to come up on a list for an ambulance. In fact, the nearest ambulance station to me is 2 to 3 minutes away. A lot of things that are said are true but a lot are not. Britian is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than Canada so far. I can’t say that it’s improving however. More healthcare cuts were announced recently. Absolutely ludicrous since they need to pour resources and health care workers into the system not stop them. I pray your country will not go this way, but it looks like they will. The problem as I see it, is that your healthcare is SO expensive that anyone without healthcare is relegated to Britian’s type, the public option and/or those who do have insurance, are finished once their insurance compancy decides they have paid enough. I don’t know of anyone here losing their entire life savings and house and everything they own to pay an outstanding debt to a hospital. For profit in some areas, is not always good but neither is the government run one. There needs to be a two tiered system. Those who can pay for tests should pay. Those who absolutely cannot, should get the test. Otherwise, your killing people for lack of MONEY. The entire thing, either side, is wrong headed. CO
Darlin’ the mind-numbed robots are not just mind-numbed - their outright greedy. Lots and lots of them know that what they are doing is for favour and MONEY. All the same, they are souless and dispicable. CO
Well, insurance companies have been practicing medicine and signing death warrants at least since the inception of HMO’s. In my opinion, it is just wrong. I can recall when doctor visits, lab tests and prescriptions weren’t that difficult to pay out of pocket and I never heard of anyone not being treated for lack of money. Costs are out of control, insurance companies are out of control and government is out of control. I don’t know what the answer is, but I’m absolutely certain that it isn’t to put it in the hands of government.
