The better SEC teams will never be scheduled by Michigan

Poor pup, that crow must really taste awful by now. As I recall, the last SEC team Michigan beat was mighty Floriduh, January 2008. It was reported that Urban Whiner was depressed for over a month after that shellacking (not to mention one catpoopy esq., who has been depressed over that loss for a year and a half).

Oh wait, you still think Floriduh won that game......

Crow makes the brain soooo delusional.

You must have been very good at dodge ball.

But not so good at memory. Don't worry. I will always help you remember your whining for a "do-over" and claiming that Michigan and Ohio State both deserved to be in the BCS Championship game, even though Michigan had just lost to OSU in a game proving that neither team could play defense. Despite your girlish sobs, the BCS folks were not persuaded and matched Florida--not Michigan--in the BCS Championship. Ohio State was beaten by Florida and Michigan lost a meaningless bowl game to USC and then began the next season with a loss to Appalachian State. Each of those events--as well as subsequent BCS Championships won by SEC teams--caused you to go into seclusion, only to return weeks later acting as if you never heard of football.

But that's okay. As long as there are the Toledos and Eastern Michigans of the world to schedule, "big" blue will occasionally win a game and bring you out of the snow cave where you sit and sulk. :>)

My nephew’s fiance is a Michigander Swamp Fox from just over the border from my *cough* beloved hometown of Frog Town, I mean, Toledo Ohio.
Worst parrt is... She has no Idea what Frog Town is, ,or what a Swamp Fox is!
What is going on?!
Has the older generation from Sharkyland neglected to regale the youngsters with tales about the Great Rivalry?
Sharkey, what is happening to our youth?!

Gleaned from today's email.

It was the end of the day when a policeman parked his police van in front of the station. As he gathered his equipment, his K-9 partner, "Jake", was barking, about then the officer noticed a little boy staring in the van.

"Is that a dog you got back there?" he asked.

"It sure is," the policeman replied.

Puzzled, the boy looked at him and then towards the back of the van. Finally he said, "What’d he do?"

One more....

A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I’m not going back to school," she announced to her startled mother. "I can’t read, I can’t write, and they won’t let me talk! Whats the point?"

Yes, we have. Thank you for fixing my post. Now, if a solution for the cause of the depression was as easy to remedy.

LSU coach, Les Miles, spoke to sportswriters today during the final day of SEC Media Days in Hoover, Ala. He likes how his team has prepared in the preseason. Miles says the LSU football program is measured by championships and last season's falloff from the BCS Championship was "not any fun." Also, it was revealed today that South Carolina's Steve Spurrier was the lone SEC coach to leave Florida quarterback Tim Tebow off the all conference first team.

Spurrier was a jerk long before Saban raised the bar.

Incidently you guys, did you know that our valley is burning up again. We were evacuated on Saturday and were not allowed to go home until Tuesday. We are still on Alert tho so much have some valuables and some clothes packed at all times.

This really sucks. We had some rain and lightning last nite but the heat is unreal. Not much rain at all for a logn time. Next week we will be up again to the high 90’s and up to 100.

It’s not a very nice experience I can tell you that. The area that the fire is still way out of control in is about 20 miles from me but the thing seems to be crawling around the entire valley. You can look up some of the info on www.Castanet.net. CO

Yes, well, depression has taken its toll I suppose. The news is just plain unbearable. I'd rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard. My new kitties are my most recent diversion. They keep me entertained, and have more intelligent things to say than the commentators.

Got to spend a wonderful couple of weeks playing, too. Had Tyler for a week and a half then took him back to Colorado and stayed out there for another week. Managed to avoid political discourse almost completely, except for a couple of discussions about gun control. That was at the end of May through the middle of June.

And of course I'm still working my butt off. That isn't getting any easier. Seems like the longer and harder I work, the more money it takes to do less. Don't ask.

We’re “unseasonably cool” here in New York.

You have some fine cats owning you.
They’ll keep their eyes out for you.
Good to hear from you.
Wish I could say something encouraging, but NY is pretty eerily similar at the moment.

FYI: About Spurrier, I read an article that he hadn't paid attention to his ballot, his AD had filled it out. When he found out, he changed his ballot. He said he thinks Tebow may be the best player in the country, not just the best QB in the SEC.

I tend to agree with his assessment, plus TT seems to have his other priorities right.

That being said, I agree with your assessment of both those coaches.

our valley is burning up again.

What is it about summer in Canuck country? Send some of that heat here, and it sounds like Darks could use some as well.

The news is just plain unbearable

I saw a bumper sticker that may help:

"Annoy a liberal,
Enjoy your life."

Thanks for the clarification. Spurrier does enough asinine things himself, he shouldn’t be burdened with things he didn’t do.

You’re right about TT, he does seem to have all his priorities in the right order. I’ve been a fan of his for years. He is truly an amazing young man, a natural leader and a gifted athlete.

Breaking News
We've Figured Him Out
By Ben Stein on 7.24.09 @ 9:45AM

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

The American people have already awakened to the truth that the stimulus bill -- a great idea in theory -- was really an immense bribe to Democrat interest groups, and in no way an effort to help all Americans.

Now, Americans are waking up to the truth that ObamaCare basically means that every time you are sick or injured, you will have a clerk from the Department of Motor Vehicles telling your doctor what he can and cannot do.

The American people already know that Mr. Obama's plan to lower health costs while expanding coverage and bureaucracy is a myth, a promise of something that never was and never will be -- a bureaucracy lowering costs in a free society. Either the costs go up or the free society goes away.

These are perilous times. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, our Secretary of State, has given Iran the go-ahead to have nuclear weapons, an unqualified betrayal of the nation. Now, we face a devastating loss of freedom at home in health care. It will be joined by controls on our lives to "protect us" from global warming, itself largely a fraud if believed to be caused by man.

Mr. Obama knows Americans are getting wise and will stop him if he delays at all in taking away our freedoms.

There is his urgency and our opportunity. Once freedom is lost, America is lost. Wake up, beloved America.
