There's been a lot of movement in 10 years. 23 new movies that never made the original list in 1997, surprisingly a lot of them are silent movies, surprising to me at least. Huge double digit up and down movements in well established classics, especially in the top 12.

“Godzilla” didn’t make the list? Geeesh, the vote was rigged.

How could “Chariots of Fire” fail to make the Top 100?

“Do the right thing” is above “Ben-Hur”. Yea, right.

Titanic?

And for animated films I’d go for “Monsters, Inc.” over “Toy Story”.

Toy Story in the top 100?
whatever. I wouldn’t even rank it among the top 25 animated films of all time. Disney’s “Victory Through Air Power” (which is available on DVD) was more influential and a better use of craft.

They also seem to really really like Redford and Scorcese and the 1970s.

“A Christmas Story” should be on there.

Also “The Caine Mutiny.”

I have only seen 33 of those movies. Seems like a bunch of stuff is missing. Patton and Once Upon a Time in the West among others.

This list is sexist—not enough chick flicks. ;-)

But seriously folks, where's "Casino"? One of my all-time Top Ten!
