GULFPORT --Old Man Winter is expected to bring bone-chilling temperatures to South Mississippi for the next several nights, with lows threatening the record 19 degrees.
The frigid forecast prompted the National Weather Service in New Orleans to issue a hard-freeze warning for Tuesday night, which forced officials in Harrison County to open an emergency shelter for the Coast's homeless and those without heat.

Climate Change is all the rave now. ...can't go wrong with climate change don't ya know.
God bless everyone that will face the bitter cold this year. Up here in Maine it’s been a brutal month with more snow than we had all last year. So my thoughts and parayers are with folks who are facing tough weather this year.
Let me guess...Algore’s in Biloxi to preach about Global Warming...
There was a Mississippi FReeper posting photos of grapefruits on a tree in their backyard on New Year’s Day.
Say adios, Grapefruit.
Minneapolis, MN

The fruit is picked and safely stored, thank you.
The time for debate is over!!!!!
Now, where are my gloves and ear muffs?
We are back to the times of old here in Western North Carolina- 6 inches and still falling. Nothing like a good Fairbanks Alaska snow, but around here that’s a lot!
Atlanta is supposed to be down to 14 degrees tonight.
My heat pump isn’t doing well.

It was -2 degrees here in IL on my way to work this morning. Damned global warming...
“Freezing” is the new “global warming.”
Watch the older people living alone.
