HAHAHAHAHA it is not just the wins or the championship, if so they would wait and give it to the MVP of the championship game. Florida is ranked in the top ten, it’s not like they are michigan or something. I’d love to see the gators play mizzu.... if missouri loses next week, maybe they will meet in a bowl game.

Urban Meyer lost to Rich Brooks, Mark Richt and Tommy Tuberville. I don’t see a Knute Rockne in that list. Your point?

Uhh, we beat Kentucky, you were thinking of Les Miles.

And as I recall, last year Meyer beat a pretty good coach, by the name of Jim Tressel, you may have heard of him.

I can understand the infatuation with McFadden, who probably should have won last year, but he's become a gimmick player on a team that was out of it early.

Put down the bong and step away from the keyboard.

“Kansas did not tackle. The Kansas defense didn’t wrap, and rarely stopped the runner with the first man.
I’ve only seen Missouri’s quarterback once, but he looks very, very good.”

I agree that Kansas couldn’t stop Missouri, but at the end Missouri had nothing in the tank. The spread offense wore Missouri out and stopped them for Kansas.

Daniels is an excellent QB. Missouri seems to have a knack of finding guys like like him.

but but but.... tressel let his players get drunk last year and that’s why they lost the championship, they weren’t really outplayed by the gators... just ask the poster above.

McFadden is going to be a stud in the NFL. He’s got “it.”

“There isn’t a team in the nation that can beat the Buckeyes by more than 7. I have $100 that says that.”

that’s what they said last year, OSU and Michigan were the best teams who had ever played or would ever play,lolololol.... Big 10 came out pretty sucky against the SEC in bowl games last year.

“It’s not so much that teams from the SEC are necessarily better, it’s just that every week, there is so much emotion, that you cannot afford to take a week off, even against Vandy.”

I disagree. I think the SEC teams are better, on average. Do you think that it’s different in other conferences? Do you think that the other teams in the Big Ten say: “Oh, it’s Ohio State, we don’t care about them.”? It’s college football man. Ohio State has been highly ranked all year, and therefore, a target. Even Northwestern can surprise you if you let down.
The Big Ten has lots of rivalries, it’s just that right now, the SEC is up. The PAC 10 was down for a long time, and is coming back. The Big 10 is very average. It may get better, may get worse. It is a cyclical thing.

****Tressel lost to Ron Zook.****P>

When Ohio St scored on I believe the second play of the game against Illinois I immediately thought of Zook & Florida and I said...Oh Oh.... LOL!

If comparing losses means anything one could say that WV lost was to a South Florida team that isn’t even a top 25 teams anymore. While OSU lost was to a Illinois team that might very well be a #13 team bu next sunday (if BC & Tenn lose). If OSU loses alot of players off their team which is likely. Then Ill. might be a preseason Big ten fav next year.

“What color is the sky in your world, Dude? Missouri dominated that game and it only got “close” because the Tigers relaxed too soon and coasted in. It was a big-time whupping of Jayhawk butt and every Kansas player I’ve seen interviewed, and their coach, admit it. You should, too.”

I had no favorite in this game so my opinion is unbiased. So let’s see: one interception at the endzone and 2 missed field goals. That’s 13 points and MU won by 6 (+ 2 desperation points). If they so dominated, tell me you weren’t sweating it the last 8 minutes.

PLEASE bring on a playoff!

HERE HERE....I'm tired of this BCS crap. Way too much parity this year and everyone will be sceaming. At least have an "And one game" after the BCS games...

They complain about missing classes blah blah blah...what do you think these basketball players are doing when they play these beginning of the year tournaments plus 15 travel games during the season?...missing class...football practice is not scheduled during class time and games are on the weekend so that dog don't hunt with me... PLEASE bring on a playoff!

** “the SEC is somehow inherently superior”

On this point we are in agreement. ;) **

Now, now, don’t be like a lib and take things out of context. BTW, as a fellow Buckeye fan pointed out, the SEC and Big Ten played 3 bowl games last year, the Big Ten won 2 of 3.

Tennessee 10 vs. Penn State 20
Arkansas 14 vs. Wisconsin 17
Florida 41 vs. Ohio State 14

I guess that means the Big Ten is better?

How are you Ohioans gonna handle the trauma two years in a row?

The stench of ignorance and unjustified pomposity is prevalent on this thread.

Time will tell on the 2 years in a row. Twice a bridesmaid?

I was speaking to the trauma of getting your butts whooped in two (2) sports championships, by the same school, in the same year and then getting so close to the big dance again but getting put out by a “lesser” team.

P.S. As a Gator, I’m used to the ups and downs provided by my Gator teams. Fire away, we gators have thick skin!!!!
