Man Calls 911 To Demand Beer Delivery
Last Update: 11/07 3:10 pm
(NBC News) From NBC News
It may have seemed like an emergency at the time, but a Connecticut man is now regretting his call to 911. The man, 35-year-old Brian Poulin of Hebron, was arrested Sunday after police said he called 911 several times and asked them to bring him beer. Hebron was charged with disorderly conduct.
Police said he called 911 numerous times and told the dispatcher he was out of beer and asked them to pick up more for him. Poulin was transported to Windham Community Memorial Hospital after officers arrested him at his home.
Police did not say what he was treated for.
He is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Rockville on Nov. 20.

I’m actually a bit surprised that there is no such social program in Connectiput. There will be soon.

Come on. Gimme a break. Soda pop is more acidic than beer and they put that in aluminum cans.

All I said was that aluminum cans are relatively cheap for bottling companies to use. I never said anything about soda or beer being acidic.
I wasn’t expecting some sort of Spanish Inquisition!

What were you treated for? Gas? I was arrested for PUI (Phoning Under the Influence) and treated for PWI (Puking While Intoxicated). No pharts.

While calling 911, after giving his address, he forgot what he was calling about and began to ask for pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage,... the responding officers were not amused.Alcohol was involved.
Lol.

Stainless. I have been warned to never allow aluminum to touch beer. It is supposed to do bad things to the beer, such as a laxative effect on the drinkers. Experienced brewers, is this an old wive's tale?
Probably. I think the more beer you drink has a greater laxative effect than what you drink it from. :-)
That said... no good beer comes from aluminum cans. Even the worst swill (Bud, Coors, et al) tastes better drank from a glass vessel than an aluminum can. Probably has something to do with the way taste buds react with glass vs. aluminum.
Prosit!
