“Then why the fixation on him by FreeRepublic’s mao-maoing Marxist Saul Alinsky contingent? If even half of what they and you say about him is true, why not just let him fade away into oblivion?”

U haven’t said those things about him. He’s a LIBERALtarian. I don’t vote for them.

As for why he doesn’t fade away - his supporters insist on bring him up. They are haunted by him. HE’s a DEAD issue. He won’t win anything.

Words have meaning. Don't just repeat them because you like the way they sound.

1. It's "mau-mauing," not "mao-maoing." The word has nothing whatsoever to do with Mao.

2. Saul Alinsky's distinctive contributions to political science were his techniques for grassroots organization. Calling someone a "Saul Alinsky Marxist" accuses them of advocating community-level protest actions (violent or non-violent, whatever's most useful) as the primary driver of the Marxist agenda at higher levels.

Ignoring the puerile "Marxist" charge, the "Saul Alinsky" bit is simply incoherent, since a consistent complaint from you Paulestinians has been that the "Establishment" is trying to suppress your candidate. The campaigns of Giuliani, Romney, Hillary, et al. are the exact opposite of what Saul Alinsky advocated, because they're top-down efforts driven at the national level. In fact, far more accurate would be to term Paul a "Saul Alinsky Libertarian."

Oh hardly.

I have been slowly looking at the info LSU has put out, it’s very interesting.

I have to almost laugh at Paul Supporters who complain about “lies” being told about him.

See there is no need to even lie about Ron Paul, the truth is damning enough as it is.

To make anything up is a waste of time...

Which Masi’s do you own...

Oh, a Quattroporte for formal occasions, a GranTorino for weekends and a Gransport for casual occasions.

(Just kidding, you know...but I can dream, can't I? LOL)

Excellent find...in Michigan no less, gives one hope. Do you believe he started campaigning and then asked Soros for funding, or started campaigning on Soros’ funding?

Thanks for the correction. It's been a long time since I read Alinsky. I'll spell it correctly in the future.

We have reached the point in our decline that it is the establishment that engages in "mau-mauing."

I agree, I see Paul grabbing more Algore treehuggers than the 3 Anti-war Republicans.

Shrimps is a competitive currency. “You can barbecue em, boil em, broil em, bake em, saute em. Dey’s uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There’s pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich.” —Bubba Blue libertarian extraordinaire.

I'm hungry.

And yes it says Bimmerboard, because of the Twins, a fully restored 1984 733 and an in progress 1986 745 turbo.

Fabozz caught us up to speed in an excellent response.

Indeed the Saul Alinsky role seems to best be typified by the Paul folks...

Ah, iRONy thy name is Paul...
