"<"a href="insert URL">insert Video's name"
remove the "" from the first & last symbol, insert the proper and you should have a link

You don’t. The site won’t let you. You can post a link to the video, but you can’t post an embedded video.

Do you mean FR won’t let you for YouTube?

You can't embed them in the page (thank you, Mr. Robinson!).
You can post a link, though.

I don't think it's possible to embed the actual video in a post on FR. Just make it so people can click on the youtube url.
For example: Vietnam Vet Cuts down Mexican Flag
You can learn how to create links by visiting the HTML Sandbox (easy to find...do a quick search in FR.)

You've been on here since '98 and you post a "Vanity" in News/Activism
and you don't know how to post a link yet?
Off to the HTML Sandbox for you.
To: rface
Heck, I’m still trying to post pictures with no luck.

Correct. You can’t post embedded YouTube videos on FR. You can post links to the videos, but you can’t embed the videos in your posts.

You've been on here since '98 and you post a "Vanity" in News/Activism... Which has now been moved to General/Chat where it should be.

Posting photos is actually easy. go to http://photobucket.com/ sign up for a free account. use the browse button to find the pic's you want to post on your computer, or from a web page. click upload. photobucket will give you an address http://whatever.jpg when you want to post on FR use this html code in front of your pic address

You now have pics available. You might want to open a notepad window to save your pic addresses, and the html codes for posting them
![]()
Paste your pic address between the and you are good to go! Please try to post small pics (1 mb or less) as it burns badwdth, and those of us stuck in dial up land wont be able to view them. HTH

To post a picture:
< img src="http://www.picturehost.com" > where "http://www.picturehost.com" is the URL linked to the picture that links back to the server hosting the pic. You can get this information (in Internet Explorer) by right clicking on a picture, selecting "properties" then copying the source URL. Other browsers have similar features. Remember to have no spaces between the < and > or else the HTML won't be recognized. I had to put the spaces in to show you the format or else the HTML will be recognized as a call for a picture at picturehost.com.
Caution, many people have the ability to detect excessive bandwidth usage for a picture posted outside the website in question, and will sometimes substitute a nasty message for the pic to tell you this (Like, "quit stealing my bandwidth you theif!"). You won't be able to see it (unless you clear your browser's cache) so it could come back to bite you. Unless it's a rather large site, it's really best to just post a link to a picture, to avoid the nasty notes.

So it’s FR that will not allow ... but YouTube will allow. Right?
To: rface
