The Dragonflies'Lair~Thread XLIV

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I just looked at the clock, and I’m tired. Catch you all tomorrow, stay out of jail. we’re running low on bail money.

RE: "Thought you were still in jail???"

Yes, I know the way none of that rhymed must have SEEMED 'criminal'... (Actually, I thought it had a certain 'parable' quality to it but, oh well... Can't please ALL of the people all of the time I guess.)   Maybe you'll like this one better...

We have to do some kind of criminal activity to offset the price of gas here in California.

Good morning everyone!
WayzataJOHNN left a beautiful poem for us.

Silent hills frame the small valley below
where autumn touches all with red and gold
a river marked in shades of shimmering blue
and green lands as fall is still so new
here the winds are soft like wine so old
and mysteries are to be found you know

A place where time seems to have slowed its flow
and life is easier as one has time to learn
here the mountain flowers scent the air so soft
far below where mountains so majestic loft
here my heart takes life anew and I yearn
and breathe the life within at last you know.

Funny picture. I know what you mean about requiring more coffee. Today is one of my early days and I have gone through a full pot already. For some reason my eyes want to close and I wonder if it has anything to do with getting only 5 hours sleep.

Yes it does on my early days. In fact I witness both dusk and dawn during that time. Other than that, I would assume so but cannot vouch for it happening. LOL

For me that damned DST is the worse thing to come down the pike, it really screws up my internal clock for months on end.

With the stupid Fall back just settling in I am my old self again, maybe too, it’s the internal clock saying it’s time to hibernate - IMHO - slow down, save ones energy for the cold time. Mayhap, it’s cause I am Scandinavian and carry over that stuff in my genes.
The struggle never ends for me. :0(
Guess I just fight too much, things I can't control.

Struggle like pain lets us know that we are alive and kicking. A day without that old nagging pain is like a blessing. You know, come to think of it, I kind of felt better after my divorce, the nagging pain went away.
