Awwww, Cardy, that's not fair. Now you know I was just funnin' you. After all, I had just spent the weekend babying tending an injured man.

Ummmm, Tom Brady.... he is HOT. No debate from me. Of course, he did warm the bench at the Big House for 2 years before he finally got a chance to show his stuff. LOL

"That can't be a Brady bra.
It's all flash, no substance.............
More like a Romo/Peyton Manning thing.
Flashy, but when undressed there's nothing there.........
:-)"

Hold on, now.... Brady is just a quarterback, not a saint. He squired one actress around for a while, dumped her after fathering a child and then moved on to a supermodel. Not exactly a choirboy. :)

>/center>

Tom Brady’s ex-girlfriend gave birth to a son — not a torpedo — Wednesday in Los Angeles. Let the child support negotiations begin.

Details about the birth were not released, but we wonder if all she had to do was press a red button and launch her baby out of the womb.

The Patriots quarterback and the actress split last December after nearly three years of dating. Brady wasn’t on the market long. He started dating the world’s richest supermodel soon after his split from his first child’s mother.

Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen told a British tabloid that she was excited about the upcoming birth of her boyfriend’s child. I’m guessing she probably wasn’t invited to the baby shower, but she did pick up the NFL stud’s son a few things from Baby Dior and Gucci.

Zat right? While its true that neither Romo or Peyton are close to being as handsome as Brady but I don't recall that either one has an illegitimate child.

"Two words:
Tom Brady.

Now what SEC team did he play for again?"

Hey, Brady is a star and a great quarterback. No question about that. :)

Ok, now, my turn... :)
4 words: Peyton Manning, Eli Manning.
Oh, shoot, why not 2 more words (for good measure): JaMarcus Russell

Sharky, dear, sweet man, Please try to enjoy Michigan's win. catpuppy and I asre very happy that Michigan had a bowl win this year.

SEC leads other conferences in NFL starters
By Jonathan Finney The Daily Reveille, September 14, 2007

Baton Rouge, LA (CSTV U-WIRE) — Perhaps “Southeastern Conference” is not an appropriate name for the nation’s Southern football powerhouse.

Maybe “Structure of Emphatic Consistency” better describes a conference that has systematically churned out NFL prospects and standouts.

And as of week one of the 2007 NFL season, pro teams rely more on former SEC players than they do on players from any other conference.

Out of 768 possible starters among the 32 teams of the NFL, 130 starters hail from SEC schools, which accounts for 16.9 percent of the league’s starters.

The data was compiled from each NFL team’s depth chart to open the 2007 season. Each starter received his conference designation based on his school’s current conference, not necessarily the same as the conference when he left for the NFL.

NFL Draft analyst Mike Detillier said he was not surprised that former SEC players have entrenched themselves in the world’s premier football league. He said the conference’s commitment to excellence has provided a launching pad from which its former players jump into the league.

“Winning teams produce a tremendous amount of pro players,” Detillier said. “It’s shuffled all over the league what SEC football does to the league.”

The effects former SEC players have on the NFL have certainly been far-reaching. Each team in the NFL starts at least one former SEC player, a distinction that no other conference in the nation can claim.

The conference with the next highest total is the Atlantic Coast Conference, which links 113 starters to its name. The Big 10 Conference ranks third with 112 starters and the Big 12 and Pac-10 conferences round out the top five, with 87 and 81 former players as starters, respectively.

The Big East Conference, a Bowl Championship Series conference, has only 42 former players to represent its conference on the starting level.

Since conferences have different numbers of teams per conference, some 12-team conferences may be seen as having a percentile advantage to an eight-team conference. As a result, the number of players per team in the conference was determined.

Once again, the SEC led all other conferences with 10.8 starters per team. The starters per each team in the rest of the BCS conferences are as follows: Big 10 (10.2), ACC (9.4), Pac-10 (8.1), Big 12 (7.3) and Big East (5.3).

The SEC also leads other conferences in the number of starters at certain positions. The conference boasts the most starting quarterbacks, defensive linemen, cornerbacks and strong safeties and is tied for the highest number of starting running backs.

The ACC has generated the highest number of starting linebackers, and the Big 10 has produced the highest number of starting wide receivers.

The NFL team starting the most SEC players is the Washington Redskins, whose eight SEC starters account for one-third of the team’s first unit. The Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers both start seven former SEC standouts.

Detillier said a number of factors have enabled the SEC to separate itself from the rest of the pack. The primary factor, Detillier said, is the conference’s emphasis on defense.

“I don’t think there’s another conference in the college football that plays defense like they play in the SEC,” Detillier said.

Detillier recounted a meeting he had with former Florida and current South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier, whose offensive innovations still color the conference.

Detillier said when he asked Spurrier about the difference between the SEC and other conferences, the offensive mastermind did not laud strong-armed quarterbacks or wrecking ball running backs as the keys to success in the SEC.

“[Spurrier] said, ‘You cannot win in the SEC unless you can play great defense,’ and he said, ‘That to me is the biggest difference that you see from Pac-10, Big 10, Big 12, Big East,’” Detillier said.

Detillier said another factor accounting for the SEC’s influence is the caliber of the conference’s players. He said in the past six years, the SEC has produced 79 first and second-round picks, while only 50 Pac-10 players were drafted in the same rounds.

“That’s a huge difference of upper-echelon players heading to the NFL, and that tells you the caliber of players [in the SEC],” Detillier said.

Detillier said this difference in talent between the SEC and the Pac-10 justified LSU head coach Les Miles for questioning the competition USC faces on its road to the championship.

“What [Miles] said in the off-season was absolutely 100 percent correct,” Detillier said. “[USC has] an easier ride to the national championship and doesn’t play the level of competition week-in and week-out that LSU does, and I’m convinced of that.”

Philadelphia Eagles’ punter Saverio Rocca, former Australian Rules Football punter, is the only NFL starter who did not attend college.

The number of starters from other conferences include the Mountain West conference, with 29; Conference USA, with 28; the MAC, with 24; the WAC, with 22; and the Sun Belt, with 11.

Now, sharky, I donwanna talk football, or rather, Big 10 football, any more today. Its a grand and glorious day. The sun is shining and the sky is cloudless .. Although the temp is only about 60, its a beautiful looking day. Anyhow, I've just come from watching our young, 36 year old, Republican governor be sworn in on the capitol steps complete with cannon salute and F-15 Flyover. And tonight I'm going to the Inaugural Ball... Life is sweet. :)

Good thing. I'd hate to have to have show the not so soft side of my personaility.

I do hope you're feeling better, Cardy.

Despite the fact that the Michigan immigrants in Florida initially look a bit scary due to their colorful appearance (frost-bite blue, rust orange and funeral parlor white), the bizarre look tends to eventually disappear so we welcome them as we will welcome you.

Although you deny it now, like all the rest you will flee the frozen wasteland when retirement or good sense strike, whichever comes first.

And the fact that your beloved bluebellies beat last year's national champs does not trump the fact that LSU--not frequent Michigan slayer Ohio State--is the new national champion.
