They were having a hard time tracking this system because visibility was so bad. The warnings were coming one right after another all night. A couple of counties had 7 separate tornado warnings! There's been a lot of damage and 2 confirmed deaths, but haven't heard on casualties. Lost power for awhile this morning and haven't tried turning the TV back on. I don't think this is completely over yet. We still have very warm temperatures just ahead of a cold front.

Gotta go get ready for work.

It should also be noted that 5 SEC teams are in the top 15 (LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Auburn) while the only "big" 10 team to make it is OHIO STATE.

just thought you'd want to know ... :>)

First thing I heard on the news this AM was tornado warning in several counties in AR, You OK?

Slept entirely too well last night. Ate a bunch of Kahlúa filled chocolate, then got confused as to whether I took my meds. Morning fasting blood glucose? 278! I was probably in a coma!

Feel pretty good, though...

Oh, Sweets - just had my first cup of coffee, the computer was down - watched a little of the NH campaigning - and finally got on. Here you are in the middle of some bad weather.

Hope all is clear by now! (And you are safe, with no damage to property.) That was some storm.

And the AP also thinks that Hillary will make the best President ever..........

As Rush says, the sports writers are every bit as dumb and liberal as the others.

I am enjoying the win/win/win of this all.

First: My announced favorite to be #1 wins.
Second: I win my bet about 27 point superiority with ease.....
Third: Pup not only has less money to spend on early bird specials.........but he still has to continue to wander the hot, flat, ugly climes of Floriduh looking for blue haired cheerleaders "beach bunnies"..........whilst pretending it is nice there........

Libby, I hope everything is OK with you. Al and I have been trying to locate your area on a map, but not so sure anymore where you are. You and Ron take care. I suppose it’s possible that your power is out, but let us know how you’re doing if and when you can. Sheeeeeeesh, it’s always something.

Nully, what are we going to do with you? Eating all that chocolate, and not taking care of yourself. Grrrrrrrrrrrr..you need a good spanking, but I’m afraid you’d like that too much. Must come up with something else, but it won’t be easy knowing you. :(

Will check in with you all when I get back from day one of two of my Chemical Stress Test. I am very stressful about taking this stress test, lol. I suppose nothing could be much worse than the treadmill....gaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh..!

Taipei 101 is the world's tallest building, surpassing the height of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur in late August 2003…

An 800-ton tuned mass damper helps stabilize the tower in high winds and earthquakes. This damper is an enormous ball of welded steel plates hanging inside the top of the building, and is visible from the restaurant and bar which encircles the space around the ball.

Taipai 101

The elevators are the fastest in the world, rising at 1008 meters per minute (60.48 km/hour) and descending at 610 m/min (36.6 km/hour). The top speeds are 34 percent faster than the previous world's fastest elevators in Yokohama Landmark Tower.

This is one of the few buildings in the world equipped with double-deck elevators.

I think I saw a Discovery Channel show on this...if so, quite interesting. I think, if it’s around the same time I saw it, they also had a show on the train and the landing strip/airport they built on man-made land....

Why do you suppose Obama wears earrings in N.H., while not wearing them in Iowa?

Just heard the Clinton machine is calling in their troops. Seems we are to be subjected to more Carville, etc. Groooan. I wish ALL of them would go away.

Do you suppose Hillary used pepper spray to provoke those tears yesterday? She certainly had her hand close to her eyes. I’m a bad sport, I know, it’s just I can’t trust that woman.

Hillary was the worst 1st Lady we ever had, imo. She totally disrespected our wonderful White House. Even old Wild Bill admitted they “probably weren’t as respectful as they should have been.” THEN, she showed up wearing BLACK LEATHER for the inauguration of President Bush and wore that garb all day. I was so mortified.
