"Madonna is reported to have started injecting herself with vitamins to boost her energy levels.
The singer, who turns 49 on Thursday, is said to have surprised passengers on a recent flight from New York to London by injecting herself with a vitamin shot in her arm."

Vitamins affect energy levels only if one has been clinically deficient in those vitamins having to do with metabolism. About the only way anyone could become deficient is to starve oneself or to have various diseases of the small intestine (or stomach) which impede the absorption of the vitamins. People who are deficient in vitamin B12 are given daily doses (subcutaneously or intramuscularly) for 5 to 10 days.
From Modern Nutrition in Health and Disease, 8th Ed: "A single injection of 100ug or more produces a complete therapeutic remission in any patient whose defiency is not complicated by unrelated systemic disease or other factors. The remission is sustained for life by monthly injections...."
So either she's sick or she's stupid and trying to show off.
