Good morning!
A coolish morning here: Global Warming strikes again!
( I really should do better to come up with something more substantial for this space....)
Yes, Rave, I read it all. Many thanks!
YIPPEE!! WOOHOO!!
Funeral service was very moving this a.m...we sang well, and all the music was fitting in Sally's memory.
Rain showers thru the day, tho now the sun is out.
She'd want it that way. ((Molly))..lots
I snuck out of work early to fix my antenna problem. For some reason, I can’t pick up the local HD stations with my attic antenna. I betcha it’s because it’s a brick house and the signal is terrible.
Anyway, I gave up.
“....Giuliani’s lead in the Post poll is a long one — at 37 percent more than double the number of poll respondents who favor Sen. John McCain or former Sen. Fred Thompson, who’s not yet a candidate but is expected to take the plunge any day now. Former Mas sachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has piqued the interest of the media but hasn’t done as well in the polls, trailing well behind even McCain and Thompson. Both men and women favored Giuliani, though his lead was more pronounced among women.”
I’ve saved the Patton speach. Whoever wrote that piece is pretty close to the truth.
No you ain’t old, just have a couplea worn spots. Old is when you don’t know someone 5 years older’n you, then you lie about your age. My mamma said so.
A handsome soldier. I love men in uniform.
Oh, me, too!!!...Oops...;-))
Thank you. I go weak in the knees for men in uniform.
Bit, you are inimitable.
My brother is playing in a jazz band tonight. His shift starts at 10:30.
To go or not to go...
It seems important to him. But it is so late.
Heart wrenching day.
We watched a simulated air race between a corsair, Bearcat, F-7, and 2 Mustangs. They finished the race and the planes came in to land. As the first Mustang came in on final he bouced and the plane flipped onto its back, exploding on impact. The second mustang, coming in right behind him, swerved, hit the brakes, and sent his nose into the ground. The pilot of the second Mustang got out to assist, but there was nothing he could do.
We've lost a tremendous pilot today.
Most of the Air show was cancelled at that point.
We take so much for granted, and never get over the fact that things can end so quickly.
Please say a prayer for the family of the pilot who died this afternoon. (His name is being withheld so they can notify the families.)
Thanks!
Jay
Prayers up for the pilot and his family.
How awful. I am so sorry. (((Jay)))
Oh my! Prayers being said.
