I’m a Hufflepuff, too. I wonder if there’s a correlation between that house and ladies who read Westerns :-).

Placido Domingo, y’all. We’re all going to church together. (Uh-oh - but it was tolerable the last time.)

Tom’s lizard died! We think it starved because the other two ate all the lizards. Tom has taken custody of the anole Der Prinz bought for himself, so we don’t have to start the reptile care activity again.

"Placido Domingo, y’all."

A Telly Savalas and a pleasant Sunday morning to you, too.

Tom’s lizard must have been a timid little thing. Not even fighting for food.

When I was in TX, a little lizard about 2” long ran in my front door and hid in the bedroom. I have no clue what happened to it after that, but I was concerned that I would find a dessicated lizard when I moved.

About four months later, I was reading in bed and caught some movement out of the corner of my eye. It was the little lizard, crawling up the wall. I looked at him and he was really gaunt to the point that his eye were what I noticed.

I caught him in the waste basket, took him outside to the edge of the porch, and set him free in the grass. And I wished him a happy life. How he ever survived all that time is beyond me.

The reptile-care lesson here is that we shouldn’t keep two different species in the same habitat. It’s like trying to have other fish in with the Bettas!

We survived Mass, but Vlad bit me on the neck during the “Lamb of God,” and Anoreth had to keep her hand over James’s mouth because he was being the Skipper, and the Skipper is really loud. (Der Prinz has bought three seasons of “Gilligan’s Island” on DVD. I am underwhelmed by this.)

At least two species that don’t get along, like the Betta and the Betta!

It’s been a long time since I went to Mass with a large family. This one had 10 kids, and there were less than 18 months between each one.

James no longer has James for a side-kick? I wonder if the trade-off was a good deal for the mom and dad...?

I would be underwhelmed as well. Of course, he could have gotten Dobie Gillis....

James seems to have misplaced his Other Brother James. Maybe he doesn’t need him, now that Vlad’s big enough to be blamed for most of the trouble all three of them get in.

"Of course, he could have gotten Dobie Gillis...."

"Now cut that out!" -- Dobie Gillis

"One of these days, I'm gonna kill that boy." -- Dobie Gillis' father

It’s goiong to be 110 here today, and the humidity is coming up slowly, so we’ve only had a little respite from the monsoons.

They’re back!

How are things on the East Coast? And vicinity?

I have 97 on the forecast. Not very humid, as we’ve had no rain for over a week. Some of the kids have gone to the playground or out to ride their bicycles.

I stayed up too late reading a book, so I’m not feeling terrific this morning. Serves me right!

I’ll bet that was fun, in spite of the heat! We enjoyed going to American Indian events in Oklahoma.

I’m almost always up too late, reading. Except for the times my eyelids slam shut. Then I watch the dreams.

I hope you start to feel better soon. *hug*
