A woman out for jog while listening to her iPod had her legs severed by a freight train because she may not have heard it coming, authorities said. Ya think? This woman didn't have anything on the Clintons, did she?
I suppose she'll be suing Apple now.

Probably listening to the snappy Hendrix ditty, “Hear My Train’ A Comin.”

People who jog, bike, or rollerblade while listening to loud music are unable to hear oncoming traffic, warnings, and in general are not paying attention to the path in front of them. I dont wear headphones when I jog, and especially when I bike.
Stupid.

A tragic result of being an iPod zombie. I see people walking around like this all the time, numb to the world. I like listening to music too, people, but where’s your survival instinct? I think it's really dumb to listen to an iPod or any other entertainment device while waking around or jogging. It's the ideal distraction for potential victims of muggers besides making the wearers unaware of traffic and emergency vehicle sirens.

Stupidity cannot be cured with money, or through education, or by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim can't help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime; the sentence is death, there is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity. ~ Robert Heinlein ~

I wonder if she was running on the train track. I see idiots doing that around here sometimes.

Some people pay an arm and a leg for those ipods. I knew the ipod was bad for people’s health.

Damn. I recall a young guy who was killed by a train because he was wearing his walkman and didn’t hear the train coming.
I wear my mp3 player almost all the time and did the same w/my walkman. Wearing one tends to keep panhandlers, idiots, etc from coming up to you on the street and if they do say something, you can walk by like you don’t hear them. HOWEVER, I am always aware of my surroundings and don’t have the player up so loud I can’t hear traffic noise, etc. How do you cross a train track and not pause to see if a train is coming?

What do you call a woman with two arms and no legs, trying to cover her own stupidity?
