MIAMI --A manager at a fast-food restaurant was shot several times in the arm early Tuesday trying to protect the chili sauce, authorities said.
A man in the Wendy's drive-through argued with an employee because he wanted more of the condiment, police said. The worker told the customer that restaurant policy prohibited a customer from getting more than three packets.
The man insisted on 10, reports said. The employee complied, but police said the customer wanted even more.
The manager came out to speak to the man, said Miami-Dade police spokesman Mary Walter. The customer then shot the manager, who was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The customer fled in his vehicle with a female passenger, authorities said.
They should hook up with Taco Bell. You ask for a couple of sauce packets there, and they give you about 100. I have a glove compartment full of them.
I demand my condiments or I’ll blow you away!...Jeez!, rocket scientists everywhere!
Why not throw the salsa in the gunman’s eyes?
OMG! LOL! Great site! My husband is addicted to Wendy’s chili sauce. I always end up arguing with the employee from some 3rd world mystery country to get his required 10 packs for his chili (if I only I could say TEN in a variety of Indian dialects). At least now I know he’s not the only one...
I got really pissed at a McDonalds because they wouldn’t give me a sweet-and-sour sauce packet unless I bought a McNuggets. I had bought a McChicken sandwich, and explained that I put the sause on the sandwich, and noted that it was chicken just like the McNugget, but they insisted I had to pay 11 cents.
I almost gave them a $20 and asked for their entire supply, since they were selling it. But I decided to forgo the stuff. If I hadn’t already paid for it, and wasn’t hungry, I would have returned the food and asked for my money back.
Still, I would think 10 packets is enough for anybody.
The internet is a blessing in many different ways! I haven't tried the sauce yet, but I think I will make a point of doing so.
Well, if we would have just banned chili sauce this never would have happened.
Thanks for the info.
Carls Jr. is much more accommodating. I like to order their spicy chicken sandwich, on sale for 99 cents. I have them hold the mayo, then I ask for two packages of BBQ sauce, and viola! A spicy BBQ chicken sandwich for a buck.
Jeez, it’s frickin’ Wendy’s...
Dave Thomas would have shot back.
And I thought the Hasselhoff version of that pic was scary!
Eeek!
That is so gross! (but I think the Hasselhoff one is worse)
Taco Bell for a while had a zesty nachos for 99 cents, while the same-size normal grande nachos was 1.69. So my daughter, would just order it with cheeze and no sauce.
