As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Unfortunately, the latest non-amnesty amnesty bill made it passed the cloture hurdle and on to debate. This is truly a sad day for America. Crime, apparently, can pay if you wait long enough.
We must be taking lessons from the French--we appear ready to surrender to the invading illegals without firing a shot.
In that light, how about a common sense suggestion--instead of legislation that provides legal status to millions who don't even respect our laws, how about a Constitutional Amendment along the following lines:
Section 1: The provisions of this Constitution apply only to those people who were born in the sovereign territory of the United States, those who have entered the said territory through lawful means, or who are the children of those who were either born in the sovereign territory of the United States or who have entered the said territory through lawful means.
Section 2: All people who are citizens of the United States upon the enactment of this Amendment are considered to be in the United States through lawful means.
Section 3: The Congress has the authority to enact appropriate legislation to enforce this Amendment.
Section 4: This Amendment will enter into force provided that three-forths of the several states shall concur in such within seven years of passage by the Congress.
Just a thought...
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Zawahiri is near a major city with a studio for them to put one out this fast.
Thanks for posting that info, Dog. I will try to follow what happens next.
Back from five days in beautiful North Carolina. I was visiting an old college friend.
Yes, she is OLD, as am I.
I'm older than dirt.
:-)
I’ve been worried about JRandomFreeper, also.
Really worried.
Did JT leave yet?
You know better than that, Dog. You’re a youngun’!
Heck, I’m as old as Iowa Granny, and you’re not THAT old.
;o)
Welcome back.
Thanks, lysie.
You would have loved the Magnolia trees. They were still blooming while I was there. I was fortunate to catch a glance at their last remaining blooms.
Beautiful!
In this case, OLD is good...longtime & close...:-)
Yes, he did leave. He’s back on duty. We can sleep more safely at night.
He became engaged right before he left.
Over the top.
No change in his address I assume?
You're an amazing, good Mom, Jemian.
I just read that the Dorgan amendment to strip the “nonimmigrant guestworker program” from the immigration bill failed, something like 61 to 31. Can someone explain what this amendment meant, and why even a good portion of Dims voted against it?
Thanks!
I can’t explain nuthin’ anymore. Cause nothin’ makes any sense to me. I am out of sync with most of the world.
I think its non appeal for some of these folks had to do with the idea that it would adversely affect American low wage earners.
That may have been Coburn's beef, also. I just don't know for sure.
Yesss! Glad he didn’t wait until Christmas to become engaged.
Congratulations, JT! Do we have a wedding date?
Does LD approve?
;o)
No change. He’s still in one of the “most deadly” cities.
No, we don’t have a date, but I did read on Facebook that she is thinking about next summer.
LD approves, most definitely. The Fiance is a good fit in our family.
Ha. I just read that Stone Phillips of NBC “News” didn’t have his contract renewed after 15 years. Pretty interesting....
