I don't watch too much television, but one of my favorite shows is Supernatural on the CW.
So, I was just curious about what other Freepers like to watch.
“The Office,” “Smallville” and “24.”
Shows I like:
"Law & Order" with Chris Noth and Lenny - not present ones
"The Untouchables" reruns with Robert Stack
"48 Hours" and "American's Most Wanted" - often I have other things planned when they are on
"City Confidential"
"Touched by an Angel"
Headbanger’s Ball, MTV
House, NCIS, South Park, Numbers, BSG.
I found out you can see the latest ones online. Although I can't get it to run fast enough. I felt so silly getting upset over the end of the last episode.
“Loved that show!”
It taught me everything I know about life.
LOL!!!
Battlestar Galactica, How I met Your Mother, My Name is Earl, NCIS, Veronica Mars
All time favorites when they were on the air.... Buffy and Carnivale.
A few current favorites: Supernatural, Dr Who (if it returns), Special Unit 2 and The Dresdin Files.
A few cheesy favorites: The Red Dwarf, One Hit Wonders, Are You Being Served?, The Avengers (Diana Rigg episodes), Xena, and of course Gilligan’s Island.
My favorite show on TV right now is Scrubs.
I love Gilmore Girls and Supernatural, but Time Warner di**ed us (as a town, not me personally) around at the beginning of the season, so we missed half of the season. I’m waiting for them to come out on DVD.
I desperately, desperately miss (and yes, I’m prepared for the ribbing to come) Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. They were fun. I have them on DVD, though, so I watch whenever.
These are the shows I own on DVD:
Angel
Bones
Buffy
Charmed
ER
Friends
Gilmore Girls
Lost
Prison Break
Supernatural
Smallville
Scrubs
The Office
Arrested Development
Quantum Leap
I will be buying Heroes and Jericho when they come out. I have all others up to most recent releases.
I also have Fraggle Rock and Wonder Woman for the kiddos. My 7 year old adores everything Wonder Woman.
My choices too and Maya Grace is such a PRETTY child!
Big Game Fishing the World with Capt. Norm Issacs
George Povoromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing
Wanna Go Fishing? (my wife’s favorite)
Spanish Fly with Jose Wejebe
Offshore Adventures with Chris and Melissa Fischer (and baby Sarah)
We used to have a local show on Saturday mornings but I haven’t seen it this year.
I live near the mouth of God’s own watershed, the Chesapeake Bay.
I too enjoy history documentaries, and also some shows found on Discovery Health channel.
24
Dr. Who (the new one-Eccleston)
and since nobody said it yet: Farscape
also rans:
Red Green
Monty Python
Last of the Summer Wine(when it’s on)
bump
You’re weird.
Is Arrested Development on DVD the same as on TV? In other words, is the bad language still beeped out?
I’m pretty sure it is, but can’t remember for sure. I know the beeps are used for comedic effect a lot.
It looks like you and I liked some of the same shows. I miss Buffy. My teens got me hooked on the show years ago and I found it funny and campy.
I miss Angel, Buffy, Dawson’s Creek, Felicity, Charmed.
Veronica Mars is alot like Buffy without the vampire stuff and fighting. She is quick with the comebacks and has alot of pop culture references. I doubt it will be back though after this season is over. Blood Ties on the Lifetime channel, which has the crime fighter/vampire theme isn’t very good.
I thought I saw that Gilmore Girls, another favorite of mine, is having the series finale tonight. That means it will not be back either:( The mother on that show is very liberal and it is about the worst mother/daughter relationship. She wants to be her daughter’s best friend and I think she treats her parents terribly. But the show has alot of other good things going for it that I like. I think the grandparents on the show are hilarious.
I like CSI, Without A Trace, Criminal Minds, 7th Heaven (which I thought was the worst show on TV. So bad I had to keep watching LOL!) Antique Roadshow, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, America’s Next Top Model, The Search for the Next PussyCat Doll, Survivor.
I like alot of the home flipping shows on TLC and tune in once in awhile to watch Little People. It’s an interesting show. I really liked Tanya Tucker’s show when it was on. I thought it was hilarious although her life is a train wreck.
I get very annoyed at the writing when they cannot refrain from inserting left leaning political views into every show or a lecture or slam on the President. Gilmore Girls does this in practically every show. Those writers are fond of the political zinger. Without a Trace and Criminal Minds is also a big offender in the political statement/lecture department but 7th Heaven took the prize. It seems it’s hard to find a show that doesn’t do it. I do not remember the old shows ever being that way.
