As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget thsoe who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
On the globull warming front: singer Sheryl Crow has an idea for saving the planet. When you use the rest room "we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required."
Experts are predicting that gasoline will rise to around $4/gal this summer.
If you're an illegal alien, San Francisco is your city. Mayor Newsom announced that he will not tolerate any city employee helping the Federal Government round up illegals in his city, declaring it a sanctuary for illegals.
DemoncRATS are bent on surrendering. They are hammering out a Iraq War funding bill in a conference committee to deconflict issues between the House and the Senate, but conferees agree on keeping a timetable for withdrawl in the bill.
Hitlery says, if elected, her husband would be a roving ambassador to the world to repair the Nation's tattered image abroad.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
You, too!

Hi lysie.
Back to you.
Jane, Medved had interesting last hour or so today...talking about people fleeing churches/synagogues which have gone "wishy-washy". A number of Catholic converts called in & discussed their decisions.
Take care Molly!
Leaving for the day. I’ll try to make the “Dawn Patrol” in the morning.
We missed the worst of Katrina, because we live 2 hours west of N’awlins. Matter of fact, I haven’t been there in almost 10 years. The last time I went to a Saints game was about 12 years ago(they pounded the Giants). Actually the most fun was when UL-Lafayette played Tulane in the ‘Dome. You would see about 30,000 Ragin’ Cajun fans and about 15,000 Green Wave fans all drinking beer and screaming their heads off as fast as they could and no matter who won, everybody was headed for Pat O’s and the rest of the Quarter.
Most of the students, and more than one professor at UL-L, were too hungover to make it to class on Monday mornings after those games.
All that aside, from what I understand, and G6, please correct me if I’m mistaken, but post-Katrina, New Orleans East is gone and the 9th Ward is not much better.
The liberals and RATS are begging the people who fled in front of the hurricane to Houston, DFW, and other towns to come back. They don’t care about the fact that Blanco and Nagin absolutely blew the pre-hurricane preparations and then made complete fools of themselves afterwards.
They do care about the fact that Blanco saw her poll numbers and realized she would get blasted in November, so she dropped out, Mary Landrieu(currently ranked third in the contest for “Biggest Idiot In the US Senate”, behind Barbara Boxer and Patty Murray) is in serious trouble regarding her reelection next year, and the GOP is about to take a serious bite out of the RATS edge in the state legislature.
I sometimes wish I was lucky enough to live just east of Pearl River. At least I would be blessed with a governor who knew what he was doing. The one I’m stuck with until January is a snobby idiot(I know, my frat brother was married to her daughter and when I met her, she came across as the snottiest, most elitist, dumbass I ever met.
I could have sworn that A+Bert put up a similar thread. My only regret was that I had to work that day, and one of them was a delivery to a teacher who said, in so many words, “I can’t believe people were stupid enough to vote for that idiot...”
Needless to say, I was biting my tongue real hard, and my helper, the best man I’ve ever worked with and knew I’d voted for Bush, grabbed my arm forcefully and told me we had another delivery before I could open my mouth.
I was about to unload on her, and that guy saved me.
It is such a shame that we can't all be friends and agree to disagree on some issues.
That’s the way it should be if there is disagreement. I find I learn so much more if I keep my mouth shut and “listen”. Politics is not my forte, so I learn so much from all of my FRiends.
After Mr. OH finishes mowing the lawn, we're going to try to get a walk in before the rain comes.
Since I haven't mentioned it lately, I want to let you know how much you mean to me, Molly. I'd love to get together with you sometime in the near future.
We're SO close and it's been too long!
I have to go to my neighbor's funeral tomorrow. It was delayed because the hospital forgot to have the release form for the body signed, and so the poor son called the funeral home and they didn't have his mother! (This was on Friday.) Good grief, as if the poor man doesn't have enough to deal with...he lost his father last year.
Life is too short to fret over some of these shenanigans we have seen happeneing here. I am retreating into my state of cheerful oblivion and putting most of this on ignore.
I will check in later this evening...I have to make supper.
Hey kassie, still here in between working....I see you are doing just fine. Welcome back when you can be here! HOB
HOB, we come here to this thread for much more than your, or anybody else’s, political insights. You have wisdom(Sorry if I’m sounding Chinese) and intelligence that would make anybody bow. HOB, you have learned the deepest form of non-Chinese/Chinese vocal combat
batter up!!
Hi, Molly. Off to watch the game.
24.
She was 4
I almost acted like I was, too .... thank you, Molly.
