First there was Salt Lake City, and now Virgian Tech. Trey Perkins, a 19 year old student who is now on fox News spewed his story about being in the same room as the gunman while he reloaded his weapons at least once. Did he get up and charge the gunman with reckless abandon to save his fellow students? NO
When the SLC shooting took place, the local news broadcast a cell video of the shooter discharging his weapons. While the owner of the cell phone stood there and filmed the shooter, who coincidently had his back to the camera, he did nothing. Cowards, bystanders, and wimps. I am ashamed and disgusted. Maybe it is my military training or having being in a war zone that makes me know I would take action or die trying.
I would not be jumping out of windows or filming a murderer in action, and I hope to God that whoever reads this would not either. Where are all the men?
Apparently you missed the part about 3 airliners going into buildings while many men sat and did nothing. It was only when the passengers were in contact with family and heard of the suicide missions that they banded together and did something.
Have you walked the crime scene? Have you seen the wounds of the dead and been able to confirm that none of the students died as they were charging the madman? Or have you just been watching from your couch and judging people using your crystal ball.
LEO’s are professional security bureaucrats. They are careerist interested in a financially and physically secure job with good pay and benefits. That’s why it is referred to as ‘being on the job’ or ‘I’m off the job’.

The last five years and killings have given us enough behavioral facts to say that even with SWAT teams the SOP is wait until the killer is tired of killing and then kills himself. One student, 100 students. Wait.
If you get killed, nice funeral, cops from all over the country, but no retirement.
To people who go on mass killing sprees, Cops are just targets and cops know that the authority of their uniform is worthless.

Of course, we do not know the circumstances nor how we would act, but I was surprised in the lack of action.
The New York subway hero said a similar thing. He was surprised that out of the 50 to 100 people standing around waiting for a train, only 3 or 4 bothered assisting the student that was having a seizure. And I wonder how many people would have jumped into the tracks to rescue the student.

Those who survived said otherwise. The only one who stood up to the gunman was a Holocast survivor, a professor who blocked the door so his students might escape. Everyone else describes students doing as the gunman said, and being shot. Others fled (understandable) or hid, but only the good Professor stood up to the gunman. A real hero.

That vid is friggin’ awesome! Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure...but it shows us just how good a job our boys are doing over there, and makes me that much more happy to be an American.

The families of the survivor ought to sue the individual who videotaped the carnage but did nothing to stop it. They families of survivors ought to do the same to member of the MSM who do the same.

If the Jewish/Israeli professor (the holocaust survivor who blocked the door to save his students) had a Concealed Carry Permit (and could have taken his weapon into the so-called “gun free zone”) the body count would have been three: the first two victims, and the shooter.
Down, boy. I don’t think anyone was criticizing the students (maybe the police), just wondering why no one had that “Lets roll” philosophy. It’s sad. This country is not the country I once knew. I’m afraid we’re all so Oprah-fied that if another country attacked us tomorrow, most of the country would think it rude to object.
