Remote viewer Major Ed Dames is predicting a major famine due to a wheat fungus. We do not have enought pesticide to protect both soybeans and wheat. Africa will be hit very hard.
A world without tofu????
You may be on to something...
Thanks for the chuckle. Shame you couldn’t work it into a Red Dwarf reference though (maybe the bit about the duplicated strawberries; Lister takes a bite of one full of maggots).
It needed saying....:)
Indeed -— this has been fun, but I’ve had enough fun for one night.
Good night everybody!!
I never found Midnight Truckers to be at all interesting. They knocked the classic country music off WWL, and for the few weeks it was on it seemed like one long infomercial. Apparently a lot of other people thought so too, because WWL dropped them and went with Art Bell, who’s at least entertaining at times.
[g'night]
CAT: About your father. If it's any help, he's in the ground now. Sure it's bad news for him. But on the other hand it's party time for all the little worms. (Wiggles his fingers.)
RIMMER and LISTER just stare at him.
Per the wikipedia. Please note the article is in dispute:
According to the Parapsychological Association, remote viewing (RV) is a term for extra-sensory perception, usually attempted during experiments in which the percipient tries to describe a distant location or the environs of a distant agent. The term was introduced by Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff in 1974.[1]
Skeptics often say that remote viewing, like other forms of extra-sensory perception is the result of self-delusion or fraud, such as mentalism.
IMHO, it is in dispute because it is utter sci-fi. If this exists it should be relatively easy to prove. As in previous poster’s comments about blackjack dealers; what is the number on the card that I hold in my hand at a distance of 10 paces.
Okay,...5 paces.
2 paces?
Okay, you may put your hand on the back of the card. What is the number??
For a hundred thousand dollars,...what is the number?
To reveal the location of various internationaal terrorists. Where is their location?
Wanna guess my weight?
215 lbs
I prefer ram bladders.
He is always on Art Bell predicting doom and gloom and never, ever delivering.
One prediction I remember from the 1990’s was the jet stream was supposed to hit the deck.
Another was a cannister from space was going to land in Africa and release a kind of super fungus.
And then at one point he remote-viewed the devil.
For doom and gloom he is the man.
It did. Geez! Didn't you see the movie??? (The Day After Tomorrow)
He predicted a coronal mass ejection from the sun which would destroy huge portions of the earth.
He predicted an anthrax attack on Israel.
He sucks at the future.
Nice try. You are nearly on a par with our remote viewers.
I weigh 190 lbs, but I was drinking a chocolate milkshake when I posed the question, so possibly your timeline is off, as it was with our RV friends,
Check back in 10 years. ;0)
*shrug* Timing is everything...
The film was produced as a serious piece of journalism, however it was supposedly 50 years in the future looking back at a world that had gone awry. The apocalyptic scenarios that the film predicted with real dates should have already occurred by now. So, you won’t see this movie in the left’s pantheon of global warming powerhitters. I struggle to find the movie again,...I had not recalled the name. It’s worth checking out. If you could find it!
I believe "Day After Tomorrow" gleaned a lot of the chicken littleism from this film.
Nice to know my hard earned tax dollars are being spent on "Remote Viewing."
Do you happen to know the name of the guy who is heading the Pentagon's project on Ouija board communication?
Does the Pentagon employ an astrologer or do they just pick up a copy of the National Enquirer prior to any military action?
Just wait until the magnetic poles flip (which unlike most of the crap you hear on Coast 2 Coast, this will actually happen). It is unknown what havoc this will play on the Van Allen belts that protect us from the solar wind.
I never saw the James Burke movie, the jet stream actually touching down on earth was one of Dame’s predictions, maybe he saw the James Burke movie.
I did try to watch The Day After Tomorrow but except for some of the special effects, it was kind of boring.
What if Ed Dames was basing his prediction on remote viewing The Day After Tomorrow?! That would be hilarious if most remote viewing was actually pirating movies before they were even made!
