One prediction I remember from the 1990’s was the jet stream was supposed to hit the deck.

I believe Duke may be referring to one of the harbingers of the global warming movement; James Burke’s “After the Warming” (1987) which scared the hell out of me when I was a young man. I remember the reversal of the jet stream as being the death blow to the planet.

The film was produced as a serious piece of journalism, however it was supposedly 50 years in the future looking back at a world that had gone awry. The apocalyptic scenarios that the film predicted with real dates should have already occurred by now. So, you won’t see this movie in the left’s pantheon of global warming powerhitters. I struggle to find the movie again,...I had not recalled the name. It’s worth checking out. If you could find it!

I believe "Day After Tomorrow" gleaned a lot of the chicken littleism from this film.
