Unofficial Thread...
I didn't see a thread this week, so for the time being, I thought I'd post a thread.
This week's topic is going to be College And Anything Related to it. I say this because a lot of schools have recently had (or are on) their Spring Break.
Some things that would fit would include:
-Your thoughts on college -College/Dorm Horror Stories -Spring Breaks -Greek life -Good/Bad classes -Value of College? -Activities -College Athletics [yes, this includes D-I football and March Madness...8^)]
Anything goes here, though keep in mind we are a family-friendly site. Therefore, please keep it clean, don't throw pencils in the ceiling tile, no cheating, etc...
Oh, and above all have fun!
An unofficial thread, eh. I guess we invite unofficial members. ;-)
Pinging the Usual folks (mirror is down for maintenance; will ping the whole list either later on tonight or first thing tomorrow morning...)
Go for it...
Long time no see. what's new and exciting?
Nice quiet spring evening indeed.
Not much with regard to excitement with exception of another dissertation chapter done. Aside from that, it is work and writing.
That it is...
This past week was nice. And not just because it was Spring Break 8^)
Work and school here.
Though fortunately, I'm off tonight. Normally, I'm working 8pm-8am over in IT...
IT, eh? Are you on the customer service (i.e. answer stupid questions) or technical side?
Dolly sent me an e-mail earlier today.
She's having computer trouble. She's able to get on the thing but for some reason can't get onto the internet...explaining the absence of the thread.
OK, no problem...
I'm leaving for Vegas on Sunday. It's no wonder so many hotels have been sold out. Fortunately, I got a room in one of the non-smoking hotels slightly off the strip.
"They took everything...even the stuff we didn't steal."
Never been there, but given the season, I can imagine it...8^)
They're doing a lot of work out there (lot of new stuff going up)--IIRC, they imploded the Stardust a couple weeks ago...
I puked on the floor in my dorm room back in 1986. (Yes, I was extremely drunk.)
Yep, seen that...
Drinking and College, for whatever reason, seems to go hand in hand...8^)
Thanks for the picture and for starting the thread. Actually, I think it's a great idea for a thread.
I've been to three universities so far. I have a bachelor's from Virginia Tech, a master's from Penn State, and another master's from Tennessee Tech. As an engineer, most of my memories of college are memories of studying. I did a few fun things, but I hit the books pretty hard.
