I can't grab images from this site, but there a lots of pictures here of the Stromboli effusive eruption (rather than the normal pattern of summit explosions):

With "Beaches," "Brazil," and "Bonus" in the title, I had much higher expectations for this thread.

Hrm. Many shapes are repeated throughout nature. ;) The beach ridges look almost like muscle (and connective) tissue.

You must have taken too much biology in your youth.

I see something useful like a train yard and rail switches, you see muscle tissue.

*blink* whaa?? Muscle's not useful?

Yeah, I took a few classes. :) The pic also evokes cross-bedded dune deposits like you see in Zion Nat'l Park.

I see the Lie E8 topology.

And a darn good thong you didn't want to see the Lie 2008 topology, or Mrs Clinton would have to take her pantsuit and top off .....

An international team of 18 mathematicians, including two from MIT, has mapped one of the largest and most complicated structures in mathematics. If written out on paper, the calculation describing this structure, known as E8, would cover an area the size of Manhattan.

A man died and went to Heaven. As he stood in front of the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, "What are all those clocks?"

St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie the hands on your clock move."

"Oh", said the man. "Whose clock is that?"

"That's Mother Teresa's", replied St. Peter. "The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."

"Incredible", said the man. "And whose clock is that one?"

St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abraham told only two lies in his entire life."

"Where's Hilary's clock?" asked the man.

"Hilary's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan."

It would have been a lot funnier if you'd given us something else again instead of straightening it out. ;')

"I see something useful like a train yard and rail switches, you see muscle tissue."

When I look really closely at the big picture, I see what looks very much like an airport. It's amazing how nature imitates the structures of man.

Or woman, for Cogitator and SFRepub.

If you want on or off, go to the link for instructions. Otherwise, it won't be guaranteed that you will be put on or taken off (it still won't be 100% guaranteed, anyway, but will be much more highly probable).
