Algore will be testifying on the Hill about globull warming, and will also deliver to the Congress "hundreds of thousands" of letters and postcards he has received demanding climate change legislation.

Meanwhile, the European Union says mankind must keep the increase in planet temperature to less than two degrees Celsuis over the next century (yep-100 years)--but the goal is alledgedly unattainable.

One of the reasons it may be unattainable is that globull warming is so bad, that Mars is heating up. So that means that mankind has somehow caused the Sun to get hotter? It's all George Bush's fault.

Hon, we did and they gave use a bunch of commands...release..reset yada yada... After all that it did not work. They said it was a Windows problem...which I'm sure Johnnie, as much as you like Windows you may agree.

It's a grudge match now. I bought the (xp) on ebay that year for very little. It worked fine last year (hardwired) and this year it worked okay on a wireless adapter, for a day or so, until I took the adapter back upstairs to put back on another computer..After that, I got a 169...on the adapter connection on it,as well.

the next best thing is to take a fire axe to the computer and hack it into flinders.

LOL..I'm tempted, but I'll wait until Microsoft gets rid of XP..so ..hmm maybe next week?? GRRR!!

Good news and bad from here.

poppyseed and her Abby have been here since Friday and will be leaving in the morning. Her f-i-l was generous and shared some frequent flyer miles so she could come spend the extra time.

Have started another round of radition, some on left pelvis area to alleviate pain where cancer has now spread.

Oncologist is opposed to chemo because he thinks it will do more harm than good. We are going to Chapel Hill tomorrow to get second opinion ... will be gone overnight.

I think you need to go to the device manager and delete the wireless adapter from the list (if it's still there), then go to network places and create a NEW network connection that uses the hardwired connection. It appears that the machine is trying to use the wireless adapter to get to the network and it ain't there any more...

If this isn't a laptop (doesn't sound like it is) then ther eis a chance that it is having problems recognizing that the hardware has changed....;-))
