To get the free publicity, I'll bet they pick a woman.

A good friend of mine is a Maytag repairman. He goes fishing for weeks at a time.

The old one never had any work, so why don't they just leave the position unfilled?

Mwny times its cheaper to buy a new one than to fix the old one anyway.

My wonderful old Maytag top loader lasted 23 years and helped us rear a houseful of kids, often multiple loads a day.
Sadly, the new Maytag front loaders have had a lot of problems and a not-so-good repair record. I heard that Maytag was recently sold to Whirlpool.

LOL!
For our family, Maytag appliances have worked out the best by far, General Electric and Kenmore have been the worst.

Do not, Under any circumstances purchase the new Kitchen aid dishwashers. I replaced my old one and it has been a nightmare.

The old one never had any work, so why don't they just leave the position unfilled? We purchased a Maytag washer (high end front loading) and dryer about 2.5 years ago. The Maytag service guy has been out to repair the washer at least four times ... in one instance he replaced the entire circuit board. Contrast that with our old GE washer and dryer that we had for 16 years with maybe three service calls in the entire period. The Maytag repairman with nothing to do hype is total BS.
