Didn't Benny Hinn go BERSERK in Nigeria a few years ago when he found out that he (GASP!) got ripped off by the Nigerians?
None of what you attempt to say makes sense.
Just leave the man alone. He and his ministry do so much good in the world.
As for your reference to Dawkins - he is a lunatic and an atheist. Msot atheists are lunatics. He is arrogant. Why shouldn't anyone call him that? I do.
They are on a track all right.
Amazing---such wisdom.
What have I said that didn't make sense?
"Just leave the man alone. He and his ministry do so much good in the world."
Now THAT is an interesting statement, who's ministry? Hinn's?
WEll, it is sure not what Christ lived and not how he sent his (Christ's) ministry. Read how he sent the 12 and 70, is that how these Hinn and Haggard types are going?
If Satan himself were to start a ministry, people would defend him because people get "Saved" through his work.
As for Dawkins I hope others comment on that clip, I can sure see his point, Haggard comes across as the more condecending and arrogant of the two.
Wow, that is SO out of line.
here is a FR thread on it;

He wasn't satisifed with the payout there and told them so;
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4619733.stm
"About 300,000 people attended the event each night - a modest congregation by Nigerian crusade standards. It is estimated that about 1 million worshippers attend the monthly Holy Ghost Congress service organised by The Redeemed Christian Church God (RCCG) at the same venue.
Whatever disappointment he felt on the first and second days of the miracle crusade, Hinn kept to himself - but he opened up with anger on the final day.
"Four million dollars down the drain," he shouted into the microphone from the huge rostrum.
He said that he had been assured by the local organising committee that at least six million people would attend the crusade - but the total turnout was only around one million. As a result, he realised that all the mega public address equipment he had flown in from the US was not needed."
his gung fu is strong.....;)
That would be hilarious if not for the truth in it.
Lots of hate around here.
Hinn is out there speaking of the Lord and you're sitting around typing up venom.
You sound like a liberal. If someone disagrees with you, you accuse them of "hate".
Actually the hate is all on the anti Christian side.
Sounds quite liberal to me.
He is a deceiver.
Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing.
He affirms all the cardinal doctrines of the faith AND that Christ came in the flesh.
He has had and may still have some problems with pride and whatever other fleshly flaws.
I don't know about the motives of his heart--have not been close to him.
I don't prefer his style.
I'm not at all convinced he's a false prophet.
Excessive in a list of ways, probably.
But IF, as seems clear, God IS using him regardless of his flaws, I'm not about to tell GOD that GOD is crazy for doing so.
Be my guest.
I have extremely dim views of folks who are chagrinned by the paltry turnouts vs what was expected.
They are supposedly God's to SPEND AS HE SEES FIT. No whining.
Appy, I think it is inescapable that he HAS helped thousands and probably millions deepen; begin a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Regardless of whatever else.
There's OT and NT examples of folks falling prostrate in intense spiritual/heavy Holy Spirit situations.
A service I was in as a teen . . . less than 2 feet from me, a woman was prayed for--lightly touched on the forehead--if that--may have fallen before actually being touched--and her body, including head bounced off the hardwood floor at least an inch or 2. I was shocked and thought at the time--she's gonna have a goose egg on her head and some headache.
After lying there a while worshipping God, she got up none the worse for wear in any respects.
