Yeah, that was poor wording on my part. I meant round 2 as in trying the thread for a second round.

Great idea, Snugs, and I love your pictures of the Bushes and the Cheneys!

My mom loved all holidays, and for Valentine's day she'd bake soft sugar cookie cut-out hearts frosted in pink and red, YUM!

If at first you don't succeed, you're not Chuck Norris.

If Chuck Norris were a calendar, every month would be named Chucktober, and every day he'd kick your a$$.

MacGyver can build an airplane out of gum and paper clips, but Chuck Norris can roundhouse-kick his head through a wall and take it.

I'm just going to make one post in this thread and apologize to everyone for my conduct in the previous one, which resulted in it getting yanked entirely by the AMs. I'll say good night to all of you and hope you have a happy weekend.

I always liked Valentine's Day. I never had a boyfriend on Valentine's but in high school, neither did my two best friends. We used Valentine's as a day to celebrate our friendship. The three of us would have a party, give each other presents, and talk all night long. So I have very positive associations for the day. It meant a lot to me to be able to celebrate with them instead of sitting around, being depressed.

Chuck Norris can win a game of Connect Four in only three moves.

What was going through the minds of all of Chuck Norris' victims before they died? His shoe.

A handicapped parking sign does not signify that this spot is for handicapped people. It is actually in fact a warning, that the spot belongs to Chuck Norris and that you will be handicapped if you park there.

If you spell Chuck Norris in Scrabble, you win. Forever.

i barely got into it and it was pulled. i think there were some interesting things in the very start of the thread to consider (not the suicidal stuff).

positives...it is hard when you are going thru your third messy divorce...statistics say if i ever try again my chances are 9 out of 10 it will also fail!

on a positive note... i have found that what drives many of us is something we need to find within ourselves, and in our relationship with the Lord. that is where our identity is. if we expect another person, be it our child, our spouse, or future mate to make us happy, and give us our identity we are looking in the wrong place. the expectations are wrong and it will inevitably fail. when we know who we truly are in ourselves and our maker, then we can find the contentment that Paul talks about in our given situation. unless we are at that point in life where we know who we are, and content if that is the way it stays, we are not suitable for a relationship. i am speaking as much of myself, not pointing a finger at anyone.

for today, i have no great Valentine memories. maybe the future will hold some. i have to walk by faith and not by sight.

i heard something very interesting the other day...a speaker said, "God knows who your mate is supposed to be, who is in HIS plan. God is making you ready for that mate. God knows EXACTLY where that mate is right now. You don't! If you want to know who and where your mate is, perhaps you need to get closer to GOD. Then when the time is right, HE will bring you together, since HE knows where you both are!" Wouldn't you rather have GOD's pick of the mate that suits you, than pushing to find the mate yourself? AMEN to that. My finds were not good ones, and huge mistakes on my part...bad choices.

For Valentine's Day, maybe it is time to start a new tradition! Find someone who is in need, and do something nice for them with no expectations of anything in return. Bless them! THAT will give us more blessings in return, and tends to give a turn on our frame of mind.

::grin:: the really fun part is watching their reaction!
