Anna Nicole Smith collapsed in her hotel room at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and was rushed to a hospital on Thursday. A Hollywood, Fla., fire department spokesman told MSNBC TV that the actress was unresponsive when the rescue unit arrived on the scene.
Sources confirmed to Access Hollywood that Smith was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday. Access Hollywood also is reporting that Smith was intubated at the scene.
Officials told the Miami Herald, "it does not look good."

In a series of shocking internet messages to a close friend, a pregnant Anna Nicole begged for drugs and revealed that photographer Larry Birkhead is the father of the baby she was carrying!
The stunning cyber conversation in April 2006 was obtained by Globe through a third party and could prove to be bombshell evidence in the bitter child custody fight over 6-month-old Dannielynn - involving Anna Nicole's companion-attorney Howard K. Stern, her former lover Birkhead and at least two others.

Egged on by Anna Nicole hinting that she had some shocking news, the pal asks if she is pregnant. Anna then stuns her friend by revealing who the daddy is. "She never mentioned Larry Birkhead by name, but it was clear who she was talking about," says the source who provided the transcript of the internet conversations to Globe. "Larry had helped her out with some publicity work. And there is absolutely no doubt she was referring to him. Sadly, she trashed him but he really didn't deserve it."

The shocking internet conversation amounts to Anna Nicole's confession from beyond the grave about Dannielynn's paternity and that she was already plotting to deny the father custody, says top forensic investigator Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky.
"This sounds very much like a confession from Anna Nicole about the identity of the father - and she is clearly referring to Larry Birkhead," Kobilinsky tells Globe. "Paternity will eventually be resolved by the DNA testing, but Anna Nicole's words will add true clarity to the whole issue and help show that, as far as she is concerned, Larry is the father.
"This is Anna Nicole's voice we are hearing. I'm not sure about the real meaning of her words when she talks about killing Birkhead. People say unusual things in certain situations. But it sounds pretty strange to make a remark like that."

A beaming Anna Nicole seemed like a proud and devoted mom in phtoos showing her with new-born daughter Dannielynn - but behind the loving images lies a horrifying secret.
Globe has learned that the late pinup girl was hooked on at least two powerfully addictive rugs - heroin and methadone -during her pregnancy and sources fear that she passed her addiction on to her baby girl.
She was using heroin while pregnant. She went into the hospital to help get off the drug. During the 17th week of her pregnancy, Anna Nicole secretly checked into L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for an 18-day stay, and was introduced to methadone, a drug used to wean addicts off heroin.
Anna Nicole's personal trainer Nathan Collins claims she had severe addictions and "took handfuls of drugs at a time, twice a day, and injected even more into her body."
According to insiders, the drugs Anna Nicoles used include the painkiller Vicodin, the stimulant Provigil and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax.
Her lover Howard K. Stern also admitted in court that other drugs, such as Topamax, used for migraines and to treat seizures, were injected into Anna Nicole.
Pharmacist and drug expert Dr. Skip Lenz tells Globe that Dilaudid is addictive and can result in respiratory and nervous systems problems in babies, and Topamax can cause facial and limb deformities in unborn children.
Birkhead claims Anna Nicole kept a "duffel bag" full of drugs with her and even took them during her hospital stay.
A shocking home video shot less than three weeks before Dannielynn's birth shows Anna Nicole with a dazed look on her face, which is painted with clown makeup, and barely able to walk or talk. An inside also charges that once Dannielynn was born - likely suffering the agony of withdrawal - Anna Nicole gave the infant more drugs to hush her cries. "(She) didn't want to put up with a crying baby," claims the insider. "(She'd) give her drugs so she wouldn't cry.
It kind of takes away any sympathy I might have had for her and her situation.

Was she pregnant again? HIV positive? Those two scenerios would be mildly shocking. When it comes to Anna, nothing really shocks me anymore.
Broward Medical Examiner Joshua Perper thought he knew what caused Anna Nicole Smith's sudden death at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino last month. But the tribe's police department could cast his findings into doubt.
Perper won't divulge details about the new evidence, but said he will consult with county legal staff on how to obtain it, which he said may require a court order.
''This was a surprise to us,'' said Perper of the Seminole police's unexpected information.
I know what you mean. I thought she had somewhat of an innocence about her and due to her only having an 6th grade education she did the best she could.
Now I'm leaning more towards the fact that she was just a trashy drug addicted, narcissistic, and viscious whore. I can't believe she has put that child through all this.
I want that baby in safe hands.

That headline is misleading. I was all psyched for us to solve this case with the new evidence.
"The suspicion is that there's cardiac failure," said Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky, a forensic science professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. "The obvious speculation is there was some sort of overdose of one drug, or the use of more than one drug with synergistic effects."
However, the role of diet pills "is unlikely," Kobilinsky said.
"Even if she had double or triple the dosage, I doubt it would kill her," he said.
